Metroid: Other M Official Movie

I have to agree with the comments that the game looks too combat focused when watching demo. But, it would be a rather lame video if it just showed Samus running around trying to figure out the puzzles.

@makryu Indeed, it seems too combat focused. I'm just hoping it's because they wanna showcase the new gameplay instead of making a trailer about puzzles and exploration.

I may have to hook up my Wii that's been in our basement storage for the last 2 years.

Samus looks hot. I don't say "OMFG I NEED TO PLAY THIS GAMEZORZ!" that often, but this is one that I'm really anticipating. this might not be the typical metroid that we're used to, but who cares, it's good to change things up now and then.

Seems good overall. A few points though: - Samus using wrestling moves? That's lame! - The first person-third person switch looks like will be awkward to execute in the middle of a boss fight. - no movement during first person; - Metroid was never about non-stop action, more like careful exploration with puzzles in the environment and a few boss battles. It might be only the trailer, but this seems too combat focused.

The Monsters do look terrible they don't fit into the environment correctly

god i have no idea what to expect from other M. the idea of switching from side scrolling metroid to first person sounds really cool but i haven't ever played something like that so there's nothing for me to compare to. the game looks great from trailers but we haven't seen a demo yet so i'm gonna hold my breath yet hope the best. does that make sense?

Seeing this, I get some hope in Nintendo again. They show that they're not dead yet. Game looks very promising graphically and in gameplay. But just one thing, this is BEFORE the Metroid Prime series right? Even if that's the case, why does Samus look so different? And they should have let her hair be long, why cut it T^T. Also, where did that mole come from?! Game looks good, gonna get it, but I don't like the way Samus is a bit different.

ah, hell yeah!! Though good I was gettin kinda bored with the current 1st person formula, this looks great, also ya notice when you jump you do the spin jump like in old school metroid, awsome!!!

Yup, this game is gonna be pimp. Metroid. One of the good reasons to own a Wii. @Ranma_X_basic Agreed. They need a Star Fox game..not like flippin Assault though, anything but that.

Wii emulator on PC will do it.

This game makes me proud to be a wii owner. It just looks way to beautiful looking. And seeing mother brain at the end just kicked ass. i'm getting this as soon as it comes out. Now if only nintendo would make a Star fox and possibly kid icarus then that would be hella-awesome. Congrats Team Ninja and nintendo. the both of you have made what i think should be a game of the year contender for the wii.

Probably the best looking wii game I've seen.

Finally. The direct Super Metroid sequel we've all been waiting on for many, many years... And I must say after watching this; I am "very" excited...

and the angles they use to go towards the z axis are really good and match well with the environments. The only thing I want to know more about are the controls.

wow - that was VERY impressive. The artwork and the fast pace to the game are awesome! The bosses look intense and the sound effects are just right. This has the potential to be a classic if the game delivers like this.

Whether it's first or third person action, Metroid never ceases to amaze me.

I would like to point out, this game is gonna be awesome!!! Also, as far as the control scheme being ground breaking, they used a very similar style in the last Paper Mario game. It's how it went from 2-D to 3-D. LoL, don't be haters. There really hasn't been a bad Metroid game, though it's been a while since a sidescroller was produced on anything not handheld, very exciting stuff.

A mix of the sidescrolling gameplay from the original Metroids and the 1st-person one from Metroid Prime cannot be anything else than awesome. Other M is gonna be fantastic, no doubt about it.

It just looks sot...Beautiful.....this is gunna be the big action game wii owners have been looking for....can't wait to play it!!!

Yeah, she said mother. I'm just more impressed by the fact that she's going to be voiced. I mean, whatever they do with the story is always golden imo.

I know she said "Time to go", but was that "mother" that I heard? I know that Samus's mom is dead, and that's mother brain she's looking at, but just wondering if I was the only one who heard that.
