@ivan_osorio @Nightrunner0007 @alien33 I would also like to point out that I embrace evolution in gaming, as long as it doesn't hurt it's mechanics. I personally liked what they did with FF12, and I loved the story...definitely one of the best they made. I also don't think it is fair to want the same mechanics over and over again...something that makes the FF series great, is that every game puts you in a new battle system (for the most part). To me it always felt refreshing, and it was even more rewarding when I found myself wrapped up in the story and constantly embraced the beautiful CGI cut-scenes
@alien33 Why is "God of War" the standard comparison to platform action gaming? "God of War," believe it or not, didn't invent it, they simply just took something and made it better.
@dribblesbarbax Depending on your taste in FF games, ff8, ff9, ffX, I'm omitting X2... FFXI (If your into mmo style FF) and finally, FF12....outside of Crisis Core...I wouldn't give any of the others a look...unless you want to go pre PSX days with some retro FF...then that'd be pretty cool...I want a HD remix of those with a modern graphics engine...specifically FF6
Yeah...I was excited for Duke Nukem Forever also, which was in development for a really long time...the end result ended up being a catastrophe....here is to hoping that FFXV succeeds in a time where their Final Fantasy franchise is struggling.
@IAMTYLERDURDEN Our game consoles should not follow this trend. I have argued this before, however, why single out Microsoft's products over any other that does it? More people have smart phones than gaming consoles, and this issue never seems to cross their mind when making the decision to purchase one. That is my argument here. It has socially become acceptable for smartphones to violate our privacy on a daily basis and we draw the line with a gaming console that is limited to one room of the house?
@wexorian He's nobody, but then neither are you or anyone else here for the most part. He's just stating the painfully obvious fact about privacy. One which everyone here forgets about for an afternoon to trash Microsoft.
@northArrow Never said they make a right, but I'm willing to bet half of the people here have never complained about the privacy their smartphone violates on a daily basis...I'm simply looking for consistency and logic...and I'm finding little of it in this thread.
I don't support the privacy decision Microsoft has chosen, I just can't seem to understand why so many people have such a huge problem with it. If your phone is with you in the living room or bedroom while your playing, how is it any different?
