@Sefrix @jinzo9988 How is it working out for them? Wii U is sold out in all stores and on back order if you try to order it online...seems like a pretty hot item to me, even if people don't fully understand what they are buying.

@dogpigfish What are you talking about, Sony had games out within the first year at 1080p. All you had to do was go into your console settings and only check the 1080p option. Secondly, 30 minutes is hardly hours......and I have not heard anything about a 60-70 percent failure rate at launch either..which Sony also faced with their first models.

The update took roughly around 30 minutes for me to complete...yeah it was big and yeah it sucked..but I found something else to do while "the paint was drying." Also, I had a chance to test a bunch of the social networking options alongside with ZombieU and I have to say...it is the first survival horror experience I have felt in a long time. It even makes you feel more desperate than Dead Space. The best game to compare it to would probably be condemned, but even in that comparison, it feels a lot like the original RE would have felt if it were made in first person. Also, did I mention that you can control your TV with the Wii controller as well?? That alone gives the whole console some value. Like all consoles at launch, it needs work. However, Nintendo has got a "unique gem" here and if they capitalize on it right....it could be one of the most innovative consoles anyone has ever made. This is also coming from someone who was originally not going to buy it.

@Shanks_D_Chop Here's an idea for a patch, allow the progress to be updated in real time...like an MMO...I mean that's practically what we have..a Single Player MMO ...

@Shanks_D_Chop Well, so far I've been averaging a checkpoint every fifteen minutes...as the game gets more difficult maybe they are more sprawled out? That sucks...but on the upside at least you get to have an awesome redundant experience right?

@halomonkey1_3_5 I think you are onto something. I also think this won't be the last game that does this in the near future. People are all about networking these days, and businesses want to make it possible even if it is through a video game.

I have read many of your alls' post below and I must say that there are several good points on both sides of the coin.

Personally, I have yet to have any issue logging into the game and playing it. Do I think it is retarded that Blizzard decided to take a single player experience and network it? Yes, however, in this day and age the benefit of doing something like this is just as great as leaving an internet connection completely out of the equation. Back when Duke Nukem 3d, Quake, Doom, Command and Conquer, and games that most of us grew up with were out, people were lucky if they had a stable 56k connection using dial-up. Nowadays it isn't uncommon for someone to be running a decent speed from a cable modem of some kind which in most cases will be linked to a router that has wireless capabilities.

Blizzard should have been prepared when they decided to take this leap and/or bound by making the game completely online...but they flopped. I think as customers we all have the right to be upset, but at the same time, as several people have said below, the game has only been out for two days. How can anyone even give a proper review, let alone criticize a game that has only been out for two days? Even Assassin's Creed on the PS3 had several bugs, a few which were game breaking when it was released. The main problem if you ask me is user error and not understanding the functionality of how to properly network the device most of these people choose to play it on and no I am not talking about everyone here.

In the near future, next gen consoles have negotiated the idea of being completely online, so that people like myself can sync up with my tablet or phone on the go as long as a WiFi or 3g/4g connection is available. This is something that the old school gamers will have to adjust to..and yes I know..it sucks but times are changing and that's the direction games and home use experiences are headed in. One reason I am happy that blizzard decided to take this game online, is I have multiple computers and/or devices that I may want to play this game from at any given moment. By networking the game to a server, I can conveniently log in from anywhere and pick up where I left off. If you are over seas, I feel for you and if you are on the road...does your road trip outweigh the battery life of the device that you want to play the game on?

I say, buy a 3DS or a PS Vita and find something else to play until you settle into a hotel, Starbucks, or local Mcdonalds. Free Wi-Fi exists all over the United States these days. The majority of the population these days want an experience they can access from anywhere by simply logging in....taking a game online gives them the capability of doing that. I'm not necessarily trying to change the way any of you feel about this matter, just stating some positives since most of what I've read is negative below.
