I'd move everything on your 'The Bad' list on to the 'The Good' list but to each his own. I'm a little surprised at all of your difficulties. Maybe I'm just lucky but I never found the game to be that hard. I'm not sure how you can be in the culture you're in and not at least know that there's a place can Majula where you level up.
Your use/burn issue with the effigies is baffling to me.
I wish I cared about this. However, for one new act and a paladin-esque class I don't think this could get me to log back into D3 even if it were given out as a patch. There's too much else wrong with the game.
I also think demos can curb online, impulse purchases. For instance, the other night I had it in my head that I wanted (like, really wanted) to play an action RPG; I decided to check out Torchlight 2. I went to buy it but, since there was a demo, I downloaded that instead. After playing through the demo, my ARPG itch was scratched and I didn't bother buying the game. I probably would have, had there not been a demo.
Amusing how in these comments we see clearly that Gamespot is in the pocket of Sony. Yet, last week, in the Last of Us comments, Gamespot was in the pocket on Microsoft. Clearly this means that Gamespot is in the pocket of Nintendo.
This is the best Feedbackula I've seen. I really like GS biting back a little. The chair spinning satire and drawing attention to how counterproductive it is for GS to base its scores on other sites is too perfect. Nice work.
