Yes, I now have Mortal Kombat on PS3 and got it for 52.99 by using a 10 dollar off reward zone card from Best Buy and along with it I was about to get a free 10 gift card for my next purchase, I'm saving this baby until later on.:D It's been a while since MK, and I'm glad to see it back as a reboot to see it start fresh again. Excuse me as I rip bodies apart...

Wii 2 to maybe be at E3

Lots of rumors have recently surfaced as it's known as Project Cafe. Here's some info:

- More powerful than 360/PS3
- New controller with HD touch screen
- may use Blu-ray
- backwards compatible with Wii
- will support 1080p
- official announcement coming this month
- big reveal at E3 2011
- set to release late 2012
- already shown to publishers
- Nintendo is looking to recapture the core

Now some say it won't be that more powerful than the 360 and PS3, but people don't realize that both systems are far outdated and 2006+ hardware owns it. I'm guessing the Wii 2 will have a quad core cpu, 512MB-1GB VRAM for GPU and 1-2GB RAM. If so it is leagues above the 360 and PS3. Lets look at 360 and PS3 specs:

360: Tri core, 256 VRAM for GPU and 256 RAM

PS3: 1 core with 7 SPEs(weaker than main cores), 256 VRAM for GPU and 256 RAM

Total ownage.:P Can't wait for more info.:D

This is getting absurd

Wow, this is my 70k post(yes, posting blogs increase your post count). I really don't know what to say, I wasn't expecting to post this much this fast, but maybe I have too much time on my hands.:P I'll be at Level 46 in a few hours anyways. Let's party.:D

Ok, I'll explain how I got here: I've been posting in a lot of unions!!! And some other forums too.

Sonic Generations

Going by this trailer, we see both old and new Sonic running together. There really isn't much info on the game, but there's a rumor it remakes Sonic 1-3 with new graphics, abilities, etc. Really, we don't know much about the game, but hopefully there will be more info soon. And if you're a Wii only owner, you're out of luck as it's on 360 and PS3. Seeing how well Sonic Colors and Sonic 4 did, this is a good time to be a Sonic fan.

Kameo 2 Canceled

Along with Perfect Dark 2 being canceled, Kameo 2 suffers the same fate and this one is oddly different in direction of art, we went from this(1st game):

Never before have I've seen such a difference in direction. The reasoning behind this is unexplained, but I bet it's to appeal to a older audience. I wouldn't actually mind another one, I mean, we need more 3D platformers on 360. Instead, Rare is doing Kinect Sports 2, lulz.

Mortal Kombat demo impressions

The MK series is hit and miss among people as the years went by, but after playing the demo, it looks like MK is back to it's roots. It controls and plays like the 2D MKs with a few new things like supers that let you go into X-Ray mode and see you do a ton of damage, custom instead of the only dial up combos, combo breakers, etc. Sadly the tag team wasn't in it and the a.i. seems far too easy on normal, might as well crank it to the highest to get a decent challenge. And fatalities are simply easy to do, not that's a bad thing since unless you push random buttons or read a guide you'll never do them. Also, it seems to be the most violent yet, as damage to the skin and blood stained on the body along with ripped clothes stays permanent for all rounds until you win/lose of course. Overall it was actually great and I may look more forward to this.

The game has gone gold so expect reviews anytime now and like last year, there will be a live action video(soon) that looks like it could be the MK movie. And to be honest, I wish they would make this into a movie. The 1st MK was mixed reviewed but good for a game to movie, but the 2nd one is just a load of garbage, plus this will be a reboot anyways and we need more good game to movies, there's not enough of them. So my fingers are crossed for that.

PSN has been hacked!!!

According to various reports, PSN users normally had trouble trying to get on PSN due to the hackers interfering with onlineall because Sony removed the OS support with a firmware update. Now who's to blame for this? Sony or the hackers, you decide. Personally, the hackers, because when you buy a PS3, you buy it for games, not for a movie player or PC. As cool as Linux was, not sure why it's needed for a reason to get a PS3. Also, why would you use 2005 hardware that isn't focused on being what it's not as a PC, might as well get a PC. When Sony finds them, I expect bad things to happen.

The Green Lantern Wondercon Trailer

I haven't seen any movies yet, and there isn't much for me to watch until later in the year, seriously, it seems summer is the best time for movies. On June 17th, The Green Lantern comes out and is some of the movies I want to see this year. While it's 1st trailer wasn't that great though not the worst, the 2nd trailer is amazing and would make you even more pumped for it. Yes, the music helps, but the story of how he became what he is along with the evil that plots to destroy them was done very well and even convinced those who were put off by the 1st trailer. Glad to see those who would be interested though.=p

I got more 2011 movies planned to watch, but that's one of them.

Holding off on the 3DS

I don't have the money, there aren't enough(good) games on it now that I want and I got other things to buy.

Anyways, this really is an accomplishment for me here at least. I am happy to be able to get this far and not get banned or quit Gamespot. I've been through hell at times, but overall I still like it here despite the glitches and I will continue to post. And speaking of this site, look at the beta layout.

Yes, it's been over a month since a new blog. You're probably wondering where I've been(I know n-re misses me). Well, I was on, but not as much as I did visit many other sites and was offline a lot. Now that I'm back, I'll share some quick news before I get back to regular blogging.

Level 45

Yes, I finally got to this level a few weeks ago, would suck to go back, LOL.

Windows 7 Ultimate

Yes, I finally got Windows 7, and it's the Ultimate edition, I know I'm late, but better that than never. So far I'm liking it and the navigation though I can't seem to use my sound card and I hate onboard sound so I'm better off using sound from my GTX 460using HDMI. Speaking of GTX 460...

The GTX 460 is an overclocking beast

Even though it pales against many graphics cards like the Radeon HD 6870, 5850, 5870, 5970, 6950, 6970 and 6990 along with Geforce GTX 470, 480, 560, 570, 580 and 590 it's still great for it's price and when I overclock it I notice a difference in performance. Yes, a voltage increase is needed, and it's best to get a gpu cooler for that even though they can be a pain to install, but the temps are normally in 60-70 degrees which is impressive and I can manage to get it to this though I should increase the voltage more, LOL:

And this comes from 675 core, 1350 shader and 1800 memory, which is pretty damn impressive IMO.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 on PC

It is normally rare for me to get a game twice but due to EA's crappy servers, a community that gets worse(the tea bagging is getting out of hands) and my brother playing the 360 version with his friends to the point when I can't get on that version anymore along with being a rank 50 anyways, I decided to get it for 20 bucks on PC and I'm blown away at how different it is on there. It may not have a ton of differences to be a different game, but there's enough to notice many differences, and yes, I normally go above 40FPS maxed out definitely when my GTX 460 is overclocked. To see how different it is, here it is.

More players-Consoles do up to 24, PC does up to 32. IMO, this is huge, those 4 extra people on each team can make a big difference as thanks to, the ticket has increased for the modes. For example, Rush had 75 tickets for 24 players, now it's 100 tickets with 32 players, resulting in longer battles. Speaking of tickets...

More tickets-Thanks to the server browser it has, players can number the amount of tickets to their likings, I've seen servers with 200, 500, 1000, etc. tickets in Conquest. Yep, more longer battles, but more kills as for a high K/D ratio and more points to earn, LOL. I was on a server with 300 tickets for Rush, which is pretty absurd IMO.

Field of View-This needs explaining, but is not hard to understand. On consoles the FOV is 55, PC allows you to change it to your likings. By doing this, this will let you see more in the environment, and a lot of PC games have this anyways. The higher the better, though it can strain your FPS, it isn't all bad if you can run it, I still run it 30-80FPS like I said before. This gives you a huge advantage when people try to knife you in the front and such, here are 2 examples: 55FOV(consoles) and 90FOV(mine). There's nothing more important than to be able to see ahead.

Server Browsers with features-One of the biggest ones is this. The ability to set up a server allows you to control the amount of players(32, 24, 16, 8, etc.), tickets, options and features that don't make it to consoles, like an addition to hardcore, you got friendly fire, ranked, auto balance, punkbuster, kill cam, minimap, 3D spotting, 3P vehicle cameras, minimap spotting and crosshair on/off options. You can switch teams as well. While I'm listing things that can only be on PC, I believe the console versions could still have most of these features. Joining a game has never been easier.

Avoiding EA's servers-Console versions are forced to put up with EA's servers while I don't have to use a single one on PC. You can choose to play on EA's servers on PC, but why would you.=p

Squad Management-Another biggie is this. The console versions put you in random squads, and if you want to be in a different squad, you better hope the previous squad you were on is full, because you have no control of what squad to be in. On PC, there is Squad Management, and you have full control of what squad to be with. The squads unlike console versions have names as well: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf and Hotel squads. At any time you can join them and switch with others. I love doing this.

Info box-You can disable it, but on the top left you see a box seeing all sorts of messages like who has the most killstreaks, rules about the servers you are on, people chatting, etc.

No VIP-On consoles, buy it new and you have it, used and you pay 15 bucks to get new maps. On PC, it doesn't have it thus making all maps free.

He had a stroke, is blind with his left eye, can't seem to remember things and can barely walk. I don't know when he'll get well.:(

Full new PC build

In my last blog, I told you about getting a AMD Atlon II X4 645(which I do have now). Well, that will be one of my last upgrades as my current mobo is getting dated and I'm maxing it out. Hopefully in the summer I get a new build, but here's the catch: I may go with Intel on this one if the new AMD Bulldozers fail to live up to expectations. Right now I'm looking for a case and power supply, the rest will all depend on June when Bulldozer comes out on that month.

Early presents

So far it's 50 b-day bucks from mom and this:

I just couldn't stand my previous cpu anymore so I got this in the mail the other day and once again I have no trouble running games. It was a pain to take out my older cpu and updating the bios to get this one to work, but it pays off by being able to do Just Cause 2 at near 60 FPS most of the time, Crysis gets between 30-40FPS and a few times 50 FPS, Black Ops is mostly stable as I get 30-80 FPS much better now, and Devil May Cry 4 is mostly 100FPS anyways, LOL.

All I need is Windows 7 64bit and I'm set, getting tired of Vista and 32bit and not letting me using my 4 GB RAM, hate using 3.25 GB only. And maybe faster ram.

Going out

Since I blogged this in the morning, I might as well say I will attempt to go to Best Buy to get what I want and I do have a Best Buy Reward Zone for 10 bucks off my next purchase, should be fun. I am probably going to get more b-day money as well and do other crap.

Lets get it out of the way

After reading so much info on this game, I decided to post a pic of one of my most hyped games of 2011. Here it is:

Why am I so excited? I give you 3 reasons.

3. It's one of the few multiplayer games I'll play this year.

2. The info on this game is incredible, here's what we got from Game Informer:

-Aiming for CY Q4 2011 release
-Concept for BF3 has been in the works for years, waiting on proper tech to seamlessly come together
-Frosbite 2.0 is the culmination of this tech, entirely re-written
-Lighting sounds neat, one "probe" contains more lighting information than an entire BFBC2 level.
-Level destruction is going to be "believable" but basically everything is destructible.
-Character animations powered by ANT, what EA Sports uses.
-AI characters and multiplayer characters have different animation sets
-No more "gliding" animations that look off, animation realism is a focus
-Captured their own war audios (bullets, tanks, helicopters, etc) at different distances to ensure realism
-Better audio cues for certain actions, more easily able to listen for threats
-Plan on better, more immediate post release content
-More unlocks than BFBC2
-Dice trying to find a good balance between customization of your character and not having "pink rabbit hat(s)"
-4 c1asses
-Will talk about squads "later"
-Looking into a theater mode but can't talk about it
-Will have co-op
-There will be a kill-cam but it can be turned off
-BF3's team is almost twice as big as the team for BFBC2
-They want the pacing of the single player mode to be balanced, with highs and lows. Makes the comparison to a song vs a guitar solo.
-Part of the single player mode takes place in Sulaymaniyah - Iraqi Kurdistan.
-The F word will be used often, so M rated for sure
-There will be an earthquake in a level. The destruction sounds very impressive. 7 story building collapses, looks very well done
-Significant narrative that goes with the SP mode
-More than one setting, you're not in the middle east for the whole game
-PC version is lead version
-Why 64 players for PC only? No complains from the console crowd.
-No mod tools at release. Maybe none down the line either. Frosbite 2.0 is complex and mods tools would have to be dumbed down, so does Dice really want to put their time to that or would it be better spent elsewhere?
-Original story, not based on Bad Company at all.

1. It's Battlefield!!! Ever since 2005 I laid eyes on a game that got me into the series, and it was Battlefield 2. If you didn't know, it's one of my fav PC games of all time, the amount of hours I put into it is insane, and mods helped a lot too. One of the few shooters I replayed over and over again. In fact, I got so excited with this news that I decided to replay BF2 and install the last patch which gives all the maps, fixes many problems and added high res above 1400x1050(I can do 1920x1080 now) along with using mods to get up to 128 bots on a map, which is far too hectic for it's own good, LOL. It's still fun as hell to play though.

Anyways, can't wait to get my GI mag and March 1st to see the game in action(video), it seems like a day one to me like BC2 was, can't wait for the beta as well.

Devil May Cry Collection

There is a rumor that it's coming to 360 and PS3. Honestly, I haven't played DMC 1-3 but I picked up 4 last week on PC and it's pretty good, I hope to get this. Shocking, isn't it? Though I heard DMC2 doesn't exist, LOL.

Halo 1 Remake

Coming in November may lead to a remake of Halo 1 with a different engine and such. Honestly, I have too many other games to get to get this, plus it's another year with Halo.XD This makes me wonder if 2 and 3 could be remade years later.

Killzone 3 beta

Normally a sequel adds things and change them, but going by this beta, there are so many changes that it doesn't feel much like Killzone 2 at all, here's the run down:

What's the same? The c1asses, still c1ass based, has all weapons from KZ2, Warzone is still there, bots as well.

What's different? MUCH faster pacing, dear god does this game move fast that the slower pacing of KZ2 is gone. Changes in the c1asses. Killstreaks and perks. Player count is now 24 instead of 32. New guns and the same guns have scopes and a few have silencers. Brutal melees that has you knifing and breaking skulls. The controls are much lighter with little to no heavy feel of Killzone 2. The game is easier to get into than Killzone 2. No server list.

Overall I did like the beta, but there are lots of changes that will make or break fans of Killzone 2. I'm still thinking about getting it, when it's less than 60 bucks, LOL, according to some reviews, the story isn't that good, and with a metacritic of 86, many expected similar or more higher scores after Killzone 2's 91 on there, we'll see if it goes up though around the time the game comes out.

This is getting ridiculous.D=

Anyways, this is about the top 5 mistakes I made in gaming. Honestly, I've been tagged for this? Oh well.

1. Rushing in Demon's Souls-This isn't a game for you to rush, yet I did it anyways to see if I can prove them wrong, and well, looks like I'm wrong as I've died a lot and keep losing souls, I'll try not to be that stupid again.

2. Not upgrading my ship and doing side missions in Mass Effect 2-In this game it's possible to keep every member alive, but you'll need to upgrade the ship to prevent them from death before you get to the final battle and doing all the loyalty missions as well. You also need to order specific characters to do specific things in your final mission. I didn't and as a result I had all but 2-3 died on me, and it's possible for you to die as well. If they die, when you come back alive after the final mission you can't do anything with them because they're dead, it's best to start the game from the beginning anyways.

3. Buying NARC-I'll blog about this game later, but man oh man, even for 20 bucks new(yes, it was always 20 bucks new) I feel ripped off. Reasons why will come.

4. Buying True Crime New York City-I brought this game for 5 bucks and I'm still I mad I did, you know a game is bad when that happens, it'll be blogged about reasons why before the next True Crime comes out.

5. Took a break from PC gaming-Last gen I was a PC gamer and did lots of PC gaming on there, this gen, well, I still do it, but I put way too much effort on the consoles and now I miss it.D= I'll try to go back to you more often starting this year.

Crysis 2 demo impressions

The Crysis 2 demo only on 360 is ok, though it reminds me of Call of Duty with the fast pacing, killstreaks(3 kills to detect enemies, 5 kills to jam their radar and 7 kills to call in a gunship) and the kill cam in both how you die and who gets the last kill. The nanosuit powers(armor, cloaking) makes it interesting and you can upgrade them, which is the best part of the demo. It controls like Bad Company 2 but the input lag is noticeable as you somehow tend to miss because the controls aren't as responsive as you would hope making for awkward gunfights. The matchmaking is poor as it can take a few mintues to get into a game even with only 12 players. With some more polish it could be great. There would need to be more to the multiplayer to keep me playing though, I'm definitely playing the single player.

Yes, there's a demo coming to PC as well, awesome news to test out my GTX 460 which I will talk about soon. I'll probably post pics.=p

Bulletstorm demo Impressions

Bulletstorm is actually fun and I love the many different ways to kill enemies, something lacking in most shooters these days, even better is that it's not serious at all, along with it being very colorful for a genre known with brown/gray nowadays. While the enemy a.i. isn't the greatest, they are pretty much there for you to kick ass, hopefully there would be harder settings. Being able kick enemies even into environmental hazards and use a leash to grab, pull and slam enemies into the air while finishing them off is win and provides different ways of handling situations. There's nothing more awesome than grabbing an enemy, shoot an explosive that's timed, kick that enemy into other enemies and see that enemy exploding on to other enemies because of the explosive. If there's more varitry like this throughout the campaign, then we could have a really fun game here.

And if you buy this game you get early access into the Gears 3 beta.

Geforce GTX 460 impressions

Guys, girls, I love this video card. The fact that I can do Crysis at 30-40 FPS on high settings made me shed a tear in my eye. I can do Just Cause 2 demo maxed out at 30 FPS, 60 FPS on default settings, Black Ops runs far better with 30-90 FPS more often, The Witcher does 30-80FPS, Tomb Raider Legend goes over 100 FPS a lot of the times, LOL, and I can barely get to 30 in the Arma 2 demo. This card is so quiet that even at 50 fan speed I can't even hear it, and the overclocking is insane, any game I can do will be at 30FPS and higher regardless what it is. Buy this card, or save up for the 560.:P

However, as great as it is, the cpu I have is holding it back. My cpu will be 4 years old this year, it's a AMD Phenom X4 9600 with only 2.3 ghz, and it shows in age and how it can't keep up with my card. That will change soon, there's no point in having such a great card and poor and old cpu that bottlenecks my card, because of that, to really see how much better my GTX 460 can get, I need to upgrade that cpu, it will come within a week or 2, I will have more impressions on this card when I get that new cpu, stay tuned for that.

If I find the person who created this whole tagging mess, he/she will not being seeing tomorrow...

MW2 Hacked on PS3

You know, this is getting sad. Why must people hack games like this? What happened to playing fair and for fun? Is this really the future of gaming? EA thinks multiplayer is the future of gaming, and that's laughable seeing how bad their servers are with them not even online at times, limited and some games get cut off fast(Madden 09's online was cut not even within a year) and they think it's the future? Please. But really, these are more reasons to avoid multiplayer gaming, not saying that this happens with all games, but it's annoying as hell and makes me question what could happen next. At least I don't play it.:P

Oh yes Microsoft, I don't believe you. It's focus is to play games, making it a gaming console. However, Microsoft calls it a family entertainment centre. Eh, yeah, I can do all that other stuff without needing a 360, besides Kinect, and Kinect is coming to PC.

Eh, Microsoft, it's still a game console, the main reason people even buy a 360 is the games, and if we bother to bring up exclusives this year, there isn't much besides Gears 3, Codename Kingdoms and Forza 4...and a bunch of Kinect games which may be good, we'll see. But I'm not too impressed with their line up so far, multiplats save it though.

And that game is...

Little Big Planet!!! Today I played with some friends online and had a blast and then decided to beat the story mode and it's now the 1st game of 2011 to be beaten. I throughly enjoyed it despite it's control issues that I hope the sequel fixes. Later levels were pretty creative and will put your platforming skills to work but it isn't a hard game though. With so many created levels to try out the game will hold me for a long time though I need to play other games, hard games like Demon's Souls. Wish me luck.

The NeverEnding Story Trilogy

A few days ago I decided to watch all 3 movies in order and it turns out each movie got worse. I liked the 1st one the most and is the only good one as the 2nd one was pretty meh and the 3rd one is downright trash. I did this because I never really got a chance to watch them plus I heard that they are remaking the original, but will tell more from the book since the original only covered some of the book.

The 1st movie was dark, filled with suspense and adventure and had cool music with a cool premise. It worked for me.

The 2nd was way worse, while it did cover the book more and seemed adventurous, it was less serious, had some bad humor and questionable plot choices that made it not that good but certainly isn't the worst.

As for the 3rd one, I am amazed at how bad it is, in fact, it looks worse than the 1st 2. How is that even possible? I know it's budget is low and all, but this movie has some of the worst special effects I've seen. Not to mention they changed Falcor and the Rockbiter too much along some other characters for the worst too, it's really a shame, along with it's bad story, acting, humor and script. Even the music is awful. It's just an epic fail that should be avoided as it really doesn't have much to do with the book unlike the 1st 2.

It's a shame how this movie series turned out, could had been great, but each movie got a different director and the results were not pleasing with each new installment, no wonder it's getting a reboot.=p
