I've never liked sex/romance in video games. It's almost never handled in a smart, intelligent way, and in most cases it only serves to highlight the "fakeness" of the game. Not to mention that it's pretty awkward to sit through if anyone else is around.


PS - Danny, you actually got the Worst Sex Scene all wrong - it's in Outlast, and it is pretty awful.

A lot of video game sex scenes are just weird and awkward because the developer seems to have set some odd arbitrary line that they seem to think would be just too much for an M rated game... like having shower sex in Mass Effect fully clothed... huh? That just leaves you feeling baffled and lol'ing at the ridiculousness of it rather than creating any kind of connection to the characters which was supposed to be the dramatic point of having sex in the game in the first place. Which in turn just ends up making it seem juvenile, weird and pointless. It would make more sense to imply things and leave it at the door or just not even bother to go there if you're going to half ass it or show things that just don't make sense.
