@fraga500: Yea it's lousy. But I think in general consumers have shown that they aren't interested in anything other than the "best" games. Whether that's graphics, how "cool" it is, how much social media attention it gets or whatever other factor.
Not that smaller titles or games that don't fit mass market appeal don't have a place. But I think studios and publishers need to get their costs under control. It's just not worth it to spend several tens of millions on a game just to get a million in sales.
And not hating on any game devs because I can't make anything at all. But there are solo devs or small groups of people that make games that sell enough to support them. Maybe having 100 devs, two outsourced companies and all this other bloat just isn't viable in today's saturated market.
@nilsdoen: I think you'll be alright playing it. It's no "worse" than something like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry where the women in it are jokingly shown off at times in outrageous poses and stuff. Which I think is still fun lol but if it isn't your taste Stellar Blade doesn't really do much of it.
Eve is mostly portrayed as a cool character in combat rather than sexy. Similar again to Devil May Cry in the sense that there is all kinds of flips, dodges and stuff. She just happens to look good if you like changing up the outfits.
@Jarrkha: I was excited about the game from the first time it was shown off. I would t say it's just decent though. It interests me far more than most of Sony's offerings.
I do think it's been put on more peoples radar due to the few articles that were made complaining about it though.
@dmblum1799: I've only played the demo but I'd say Stellar Blades gameplay is more fun. Both Niers have amazing soundtracks, thought provoking stories, interesting characters. I doubt Stellar Blade will be able to evoke the same feelings as Nier does.
But that's fine. It doesn't have to. If you are interested I'd say just play Stellar blade first since it's new. Nier can come whenever. You also need to beat Nier like 3 times to get the "full" story but even then I think there are five main endings.
I mean it's definitely double dipping. So really they are saying that they have released unfinished games over and over and over. Its whatever but "fully realized" is just a better sounding way to say holding back important content.
@xd34dl1n3rx: I think the series x looks better. It's also better put together on a technical level, especially given its smaller size. But admittedly that doesn't really matter at all since in the end both it and ps5 do pretty much the same exact thing.
