FINALLY (Not in all caps. :P)

It's been 1.5 years since I got my DSi. It's been 8 months since I got an SD card. And finally I managed to get my photos off of my DSi. Apparently, Windows 7 recognizes the SanDisk memory cards made for the Wii/DSi. And to celebrate, here's a picture I took with my DSi of Tails and Knuckles together in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

If Knuckles normally has a totally different route then Sonic/Tails, how is this possible? Here's how: Remember running as fast as you can in Sonic 1/2/3/& Knuckles, and suddenly glitching through the floor and getting trapped in a room with no way out except to hit reset? Even Sega knew about it, they warned you that Robotnik had "Inescapable traps" in the Sonic 3 instruction manual. But this time, I got the good end of the glitch, I glitched through the floor while running with Knuckles and ended up in Sonic's path, and got to fight Dr. Robotnik in the sky with Knuckles being carried by Tails. Of course it gives the default ending afterwards, Tails carries Knuckles off but the next area starts with Knuckles just running in. A great glitch, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

You drive a sword through my heart...

Okay, I'm exaggerating, but still. Remember my blog a while back about my sisters and the SNES? If not, you can look for it, I'm in sort of a hurry. This is part two of that blog:

My Mom finally made a decision in the case. The girls cannot have the SNES or the PS2 because they never use it and have no room for it. But apparently the boys don't either, somehow. So Mom says we can keep either PS2 or SNES. But it gets worse. At my Grandmother's we have a Sega Genesis and an NES, and apparently those are sort of included too: We can have one system of the four at our house and one at Grandma's. :dead face smiley: This is really, really sad. And of course if they all had Facebook access my Mom would allow them to stay. Yes, I exaggerate again. I'm just not very appreciate of it.

EDIT: I'm not asking for advice, I'm asking for pity. :P

The light goes out at seven.

Is my blog title creepy or what? (What = cliched. :P). This blog could also be renamed "mariostar0001's four problems" because I have four problems, which I will list for you here.

Problem one: The light goes out at seven. So I get up from spending three hours on Gamespot, look outside and see how dark it is and think "Wow, eight already? I was on Gamespot for four hours". So I head downstairs and glance at the clock, it's seven 'o clock. I go outside, it's grey, partly cloudy, and the street lights are on. I think "Wow, it got dark at eight yesterday. Where did the daylight go?" That's problem one.

Problem two: Where did the daylight go?

As mentioned in my blog aove me, I ended three hours spent on Gamespot and such sites. Sure, I took a break for dinner and such, and I'm actualyl just rounding, it's likely more like two hours. But still, that's a lot of time, and I've been doing it most of the summer. Wasting my time on my computer, on the internet, talking to random, false-faced strangers. Scary thought. :| And I don't know how to stop. :o:cry:

Problem three: I want my bracket back.

Update on Gamespot's Greatest Villains Contest: Among the final eight contestents, we have Ganondorf beating the Joker, despite me guessing that neither would make it this far. I'm rooting Ganon though, only because of the rest of the tournament right now. In sector two, we have Kerrigan beating Bowser. Yes, my favorite is losing. :x I blame Starcraft II. Sector three features Diablo beating Vader. I picked Vader to win it all, and now he's losing to some stupid demon. :x Diablo wasn't supposed to make it here, Gigyas was supposed to beat him, but we all know how that went. In sector four is the worst case of all: Dr. Breen beating General RAAM. I could care less about RAAM, but Dr. Breen winning? He's nothing more then the false face of an evil enterprise. But I know why he's winning. Guess what game he's from? Half Life 2. The home of Gordon Freeman. *Lightbulbs appear over everyones' heads* Yes, I'm putting my mney on the table to say that it'll end up being that Breen will beat both Diablo and whoever wins out of Ganon versus Kerrigan to take the title and net Steam a second victory. And if I'm right, I will never take part in another Gamespot's Greatest Whatever again. :x

Problem four: What to buy, what to buy?

Not including finding and purchasing Super Mario Land from a thrift store I've bought eleven games this year. All twelve of those cost $122 though, which is 1/5 of the price of 12 new Wii games ($600). Anyway. Based on my own set limits, I can only buy twelve games a year, so that means I buy exactly one more. And I've set my eyes on Metroid Prime Hunters at the moment. Yes I know all about the conflicting opinions around it, but I'll say this: I played and enjoyed Star Wars: Lethal Alliance for DS. Any questions? No? Good. Anyway, there are other games I could get as well. Specifically: GBA games. With the 3DS coming there's a good chance of them leaving Gamestop forever, but also a chance of them being heavily discounted first. So, what to do? Buy Prime Hunters and hope I have the money to buy hopefully cheaper GBA games, or buy a (Or break my own rules and buy two) Gameboy Advance game before they stop being sold forever? Decisions, decisions.

So what's your take on these questions? You don't have to answer all, but I'd like input on at least #4 for obvious reasons.

Update on Life: Why do I still bother posting these?

Answer: Publicity. No really, I have no other purpose then to waste your life wondering about mine. And if you ignore me, I might go away. :P Okay, now that that's over with...

I beat Metroid Fusion. 5 hours, 51%, got the "worst" ending. Like I really cared about seeing Zero Suit Samus. Advance Wars Dual Strike? Still playing it way too much. Really, if I'd gotten this game with my DS three years ago I'd likely still be playing it, just like I still play Mario Kart DS after three years, the games are just THAT good. I'm up to Crystal Calamity with all three stolen weapons for anyone that cares.

I have a real blog coming up in the future. It's not quite humor since I stink at humor, it's a logical attempt at making the fantasy world of gaming less fantastic. Pretty crazy, and right now rather, dull. I'm trying to liven it up.

Gamespot unions: I'm in several, tracking four, and have four on permanent hold because I was tired of getting so many invites to them. So I can now hold a mere four invites before I'm filled up. And I like it that way. 8)

School: Being homeschooled, my school starts when my Mom wants it to. And that's after Labor Day. Sad part is: I can't wait for it to start so I have something to do. I'm spending a good 1/3 of my time on Gamespot, just forum posting. That's just sad. School coming means something worthwhile to spend my time on. Very good for me. :D

Personal life: Wait, what? Who put this here? Okay, whatever. I have no girlfriend still, and still do not care to have one. I met my best friend that I haven't seen in five years about a month ago, and found out just how much he's changed. He works on computers now, and went from being a Gamecube fan to being a PS3 fan who still likes the Gamecube but hates the Wii. We had a heated debate about the carious consoles of today, and ended up agreeing that the XBOX 360 is the worst of the three this gen. :P And you know how I talk a lot on the forums here on Gamespot? It seems to have a lot to do with how much I talk in real life, I talk fast. My siblings are used to it, but other people are always asking me to slow down so they understand me. My friend on the other hand talks as fast as I do. How fast? We held a four hour conversation in two hours. We walked around talking so much that a guy who works a nearby business commented on how he was getting tired just watching us walk past him about 30 times in several hours, talking non-stop the whole time. And no, I did not mention this friend's name. If I won't say my own name, why would I say the name of a friend? I enjoy my anonymity. ;)

And finally: Gamespot's Greatest Villains contest is in round two. I failed five contests last round, and it looks like I'll have a repeat. Oh well, it's just a game. So easy to laugh at yourself, isn't it?

And, for the sake of saying something totally different, I'll leave you with this: So long, Home Skillets.;):D8)

Great Game Villain Contest has Started

And I'm wrong in four battles already. Added is losing to DK, Wily is beating Nefarious, Gigyas is losing badly, and the guy from World of Warcraft is winning when he shouldn't be. But hey, who gets all them right anyway? :P

New games, didn't see that coming.

I bought two games recently, and I think I should have only gotten one. First off I got Advance Wars: Dual Strike. No surprise there, I've been talking about it for about two months. Second, I got Metroid Fusion. :o Really, who saw it coming? Even I didn't, I expected to get Zero Mission because Gamestop.com said no Fusions were nearby but Zero Mission was everywhere. So of course when I found the less common Fusion I had to get it since I was more likely to find Zero Mission some other time then Fusion. And now, I have two ridiculously addicting games, and pulling away from either is impossible. So how do I find time for both? I have no idea.

20,000 posts.

Yeah, that few. :P Okay, it's a lot. And in a mere 10 months. But it's not enough! I'm trying for 100,000 posts some day, a rather hard achievement. I've seen no one with that many, and I'm guessing it's because more posts = more chances to be modded. :o Well, I don't plan on being banned, so I should be good.:P Anyway, I plan to reach 25,000 by my first anniversary on October 6. See you there. ;) Oh, and ignoring tagging is working, I've been tagged only once more (Still ignoring it) since that blog. And Vader won the 100 best Star Wars Characters contest at IGN. That's fine, I expected it, but my big grievance is: How did Yaddle, Rancor Keeper, and Salacious Crumb get on the list, but no Corran Horn? Or to put it another way, how did we get Dak, Porkins, Biggs Darklighter, and Wedge Antilles, but no Corran Horn? Something's not right. At least Jar Jar wasn't on the list, and R2 beat 3PO. :P

Submitted my bracket and...

I'm really disappointed, but I didn't predict Bowser to make it to the finals. I predicted he'd be beaten by Kefka. Man, the Gamespot fanbase really disagrees with me, don't they? Who'd I pick to win? Now that'd be telling. :P

You know you are a Star Wars nut when...

IGN posts a top 100 Star Wars character list, and you have heard of all the characters (Expect the stars of the Ewok movie). Top 100 Star Wars Characters Seriously, of the 20 characters on the list so far, I've known about 19. And if I were an IGN member, I'd likely be complaining about how low Anakin Solo and Gilad Pellaeon are on the list. Is there any hope? I didn't think so. Oh well, it's time to read the Thrawn Trilogy again, it's been almost six months. :o :P And no, this wasn't a bragging blog. It's more because last time IGN made a top 100 hundred (Villains) I could never find it after it reached 30, I searched all over the place and still couldn't find it or find out who won. So this time, I'm saving a link to it where I'll easily find it. :P
