["I personally would like uber cool graphics and all but if the game play is lousy I'd rather pass. I've played really great looking rubbish titles in the past and wouldn't want the same thing happen to the one series that has re-kindled my passion for video gaming."] That's why Gears of War is such a crappy game then huh? Since it's not possible to combine good gameplay with good graphics, and GoW graphics are great, therefore its gameplay must suck.

Funny how everyone was blown away by the first few cinematic trailers, but when they see the real game, it looks like Halo 2.1. At least you can't call it prerendered CG... well, the gameplay screenshots that is, don't know about those trailers. I'm suspecting a killzone job. And yes, those beta graphics will be what the final game looks like. They're not going to deliberately sell themselves short by releasing a crappy looking beta when the final game is due in 6 months. That would be the dumbest thing to do. And when a game goes from beta to retail, it's all about polishing. You can't make drastic improvements to the game at this stage, or it won't be a beta. At the alpha stage you still can, but beta is playable and close to completion.

The screenshots don't look that much better. Are you sure this is Halo 3 and not Halo 2 vista? I know the shots don't look like they do justice, but this looks like a last gen game. [Besides, people, no matter how pretty an FPS is, the novelty of the graphical value of the game wears out pretty quickly.] Tell that to millions of GoW fans. That blood splattering effect on the screen never gets old. [Its sad how people dont even care about gameplay anymore?! everyone just look at graphics and thats why i go out and get a game myself instead of reading reviews] We are reading a Gamespot article comparing the graphics of the two games. What else are we going to talk about? It's not as if you can compare gameplay differences on this page.

"Can you buy the expansion by itself? Who want's to buy the rest when you have the rest already?" Gamers new to the series. The latest expansion also contains all the previous content, but you aren't charged for it. It is expansion priced, not full game priced. So all that stuff was thrown in for free anyway. $39.95 is what Burning Crusade retailed for. You are very much likely to see the game cheaper in stores than its street price.

Game doesn't even look that good. There are far better looking games that run much smoother on the same hardware than NWN2. I'm interested in seeing the sales figures for this game. They need to make better engines. Obsidian (formerly Black Isle) and Bioware have never been known for making optimized engines.
