@Hurvl: Yes I agree we all do stupid things no doubt, and indeed no company big or small are immune to it, but that doesn't mean we should do something stupid because everyone else is doing it. Like I said being different just for the sake of being different and nothing more is just so dumb and a horrible reason to do it.
You are surely entitled to your own opinion but I feel you are in the minority here. As a fan myself I want these heroes to be as believable as possible. We all know they aren't real, but having a cohesive continuity makes their world more believable and immersive.
Even though Marvel is structured this way it still doesn't make me feel that I'm missing out on anything if I don't watch their TV show or vice versa. Each story is contained within their own movie and show. They cross reference each other very subtly that you don't miss out on anything other than jokes and hints if you choose not to watch either or. I watch all the movies and Agents of Shield as well, but not Agent Carter, and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. When I'm watching a Marvel movie I'm thinking about other characters that's not on screen because I know they are out there in the Marvel's Universe.
Don't get me wrong, I like DC movies and I watch The Flash and Supergirl as well, but I find it far more enjoyable when they have The Arrow and Flash crossover episodes. I personally can't wait for the Flash and Supergirl crossover next month.
@Sohereiam: Agreed. I don't like Affleck because he comes off more as a cocky person than humble one. I don't mind Eisenberg except he acts more like the Joker than Lex Luther.
@Hurvl: That would be a very stupid reason to differentiate themselves from Marvel. Being different just for the sake of it is lazy and elementary minded. This also hurts the fans because they prefer continuity.
I'm not excited about AR as I am for VR. I find AR to be more practical for real world uses than gaming. It would be cool to have a virtual desktop and surf the web or check emails, skyping, etc. but for gaming I really don't want to see robots or any digital objects overlaying our boring world. I'd much rather be completely immersed in a virtual world that can only be provided by VR like the Vive, Oculus, and Gear VR.
@DustbusterGF: Laughing at people for liking a movie you dislike makes you incredibly childish. Making assumptions make you look stupid. You hating on the movie is your opinion and nothing more, but trust me when I say you are in the minority.
@mirage_so3: I guess you missed the fact that both Avatar and Titanic were in the theaters for a full year and one had a re-release. Lets not forget they didn't have blockbuster after blockbuster every week to compete with for that entire year it was out. Movies today only stay in theaters for a few months at most.
