Kang in the comics is just the worst, hapless, mixed up villain ever. Best used as a plot device: future paradoxes, multi-dimensions, imposters, etc etc. But as a master villain, ugh, so badly written and thought of throughout his long career. Way back with the FF.
BUT, I have to admit Majors portrayal was really good. He had more depth, empathy, and a clear broad motive started to appear. Loki season 2 last couple of episodes at the end of time, especially.
If Majors serves his time pays for his crimes, I am all for him coming back. But this is Disney, who knows their bread and butter is built on children and moms of children. They will protect their bottom line.
I would be just fine with any other character playing Kang, if they are strong enough- as I would love to see what plan they had for Kang.
I would also be just as happy if another villain like say... Doom or Immortus, which would incorporate Kang's storyline just fine, and push him back as a plot point, like the comics do.
I agree with this "Kang in the comics is just the worst, hapless, mixed up villain ever. Best used as a plot device: future paradoxes, multi-dimensions, imposters, etc etc."
Majors was OK , but felt forced still. Thanks for your thoughts here.
Looks terrible...also gives me seizures thinking this looks too much like I am Legend except with a boss fight stolen from RR. Will Smith is done, let's honor his achievements but let him slowly fade from relevance.
