@Tiwill44: All of these gacha games have the same end goal: Get children addicted to gambling. All of these slot-machine mechanics (gachas, loot boxes, whatever you want to call them) need to be banned.
@ratchet200: Pretty on the mark. In fact I saw so many similarities in the two games I had to look up to see if Level Infinite's parent company was the same as MiHoYo. (It isn't). So basically they just flat-out copied Genshin and changed the theme a little.
In the end, there's nothing innovative or new about this game. A lot of what is there doesn't work properly and while some things are nice (you get a lot of traversal stuff really early on and the character customization is pretty good) overall, yeah, this just feels like Genshin Impact, but worse.
@blackparrottt: The issue is that all these F2P games bug you constantly to spend money. Constantly. It's especially bad with mobile titles. Every 30 seconds they're pestering you with an ad, or with a plug to buy stuff from them. And a lot of free to play games do that. In fact nearly all of them do to some degree or another, because that's how they keep the lights on. And yeah, lots of people start out saying "I'm not spending a dime on this". But a lot of those people eventually cave. And they spend a little. And a little more. And a little more.
@tbird7586: Unfortunately getting PS3 games to work on newer consoles is easier said than done. The Cell processor was notoriously hard to code for, and trying to effectively emulate it is a royal pain in the butt.
@santinegrete: PS3 emulation has come a long way, but it's still not very good. I read an article recently that a PS3 emulator just got every PS3 game to boot--but booting and playable are not the same thing. As far as I'm aware most games still don't really work.
Given the absolute Charlie Foxtrot CP2077 was at launch, it's safe to say I have many, many reservations about this. Frankly I'd be surprised if it functioned, much less was any good.
It looks like it works pretty much the same as the Switch's retro titles. That system works well. Hopefully this one does too. Still, we'll see what the actual game selection looks like.
The only thing we actually know for sure is that they're working on it. EVERYTHING ELSE is pure speculation and rumor-mongering and should be discarded for the trash that it is.
