I can't help but feel the like two arguments 'video games don't promote violence!' and 'kids that age shouldn't be playing violent games like this!' sort of contradict.

It looks... slow? I feel uncomfortable watching. It just looks boring really - i'll probably only get a PS4 because of naughty dog now really - xbox one having titanfall is going to be one of it's few early advantages.
I thought the purpose of jail time was to remove potentially dangerous people from society/rehabilitation. what can this man even do to add to the problem? oh wait... it's a message to the world that people will be prosecuted for this kind of stuff.
[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]So this is news on OT these days.LJS9502_basicSadly. And I don't get why people make a "star" out of idiots with youtube accounts. I can only think they have incredibly lame lives.
If people are entertained, why not? People do it for people involved in shows they enjoy, movies, authors of books - there are loads of talented and entertaining people/groups on youtube producing quality content.

I don't know why this sh!tty adjective always get thrown around. Suicide is awful, but it is anything but cowardly. Given how much humans fear death, how does that even make sense?
I think when most people say suicide is cowardly, it's more so due to the reasons behind the act rather than the act itself.
^ yeah, that - but considering the actual meaning of the word it doesn't really make sense :P
The only stories that ever get posted about bullying, abuse and so called cyber bullying are the ones in which the victim kills themselves. This is followed by news outlets reporting on how tragic the situation is, facebook pages set up in her memory and a tirade of comments about how beautiful and innocent they were . This is not a good thing. The stories should be about people who were subject to abuse and depression whilst making it through their hardships and eventually leading a happy life this is a MUCH better thing to promote to young people than showing them how much damn attention and love theyd get if they killed themselves. Instead, we use suicide to show the extreme effects of this abuse but this is NOT a good thing to promote on its own.
We get it. People can do stupid things because of words ; but we also need to show them theres ways out other than suicide. It is cowardly and should be seen as such, if not only for the benefit of all the people who feel terrible about themselves right now and are considering it. There are many other ways through hard times other than a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Suicide dumps everything on your friends and family and is actually quite selfish. It shows you dont care about what you do to others as long as youre not there to see the effects it has on the people around you. To be brought down to a level where you would do that may be devastating, but you must understand that it will negatively effect everyone around you in so many ways, too.
when signing up to askfm it's pretty obvious there's the opportunity for people to send anonymous messages and if you're already being bullied/depressed it makes absolutely no sense to open another door to making you feel worse. These aren't random people that she doesn't know, it is most likely facebook 'friends' that have gone on her ask account (it links/shares with facebook) and posted stuff, this means she knew there was much potential for abuse. I don't know why someone who clearly already has problems would sign up to something like that - approval seeking maybe? Sure it's not her fault but she didn't exactly help herself. I have no idea how people take stuff like this so seriously either, it wasn't even messages that personally attacked her looks or personality, just generic 'kill yourself' bs... not to mention she had a boyfriend so I assume this means she wasn't a social outcast either. us teens overall seem to be pretty dumb on the internet. (sort of felt bad writing this, but i see too many stupid vulnurable and sometimes attention seeking girls getting ask fm and sharing it all over facebook for the people that don't like them to see and abuse them on - not to say it justifies the abuse)
