Nintendo continues to release titles from old and outdated franchises (Mario) and continues to make them the centerpoint of their consoles, these games might have been popular 15 years ago but gaming has evolved beyond these type of games and Nintendo seems to still have the mentality that they had in the 1990's, Every new console needs a Killer App in order to really take off, and by that i don't mean Mario..... if Nintendo doesn't do something before the Big 2 release their machines then they are in big trouble.
I don't even pay attention to CGI Trailers anymore, It shows nothing of how the game will actually look, They are nice to look at but what you are seeing will be radically different from what you will get.
Arguably the highest profile release of the year being "mistakenly" packed with a game from a direct competitor, Not only that but how can the employees not notice that they are packaging a completely different game which is not even from the same publisher.
No matter how you look at it, something is not right here.
I don't understand what the deal with LucasArts is, they have 3 great franchises that would sell a lot and instead they continue to make horrible games like Clone Wars and Star Wars Kinect.
If LucasArts was owned by EA or Activision we would have been by Kotor 5 now.
No one is to blame except the consumer for continuing to buy games just for the name instead of doing a little research and finding out if what they are buying is actually worth the price.
As long as the consumer continues to buy garbage games just because it has a known name on the cover the developers will continue to make them.
