There was something similar shown when the current gen systems were announced, The truth is that they put extra work on these demo's that they will never do on an actual game.
It was also rumored that the PS4 would block used games because a patent by Sony that blocks used software was filed, Then we found out that the PS4 will not block used games and that the patent did not even have anything to do with the PS4.
"38 Percent were unaware of the ESBR Rating" You mean 38% of people were stupid enough to not even see a white square that takes a full corner of the game box.
"47 percent do not have faith in the ESRB ratings to keep mature-rated games away from children"
They already put a white sign on the front of the box that is almost impossible to not see, It is the parents job to keep certain games away from children.
The only thing this survey does is further prove how stupid people can be.
@tevic @denny33142 That has no logic, The reason smartphone games are $0.99 is because they are simple and easy/cheap to develop.
Also the music industry has not gone downhill, The main revenue has simply shifted from cd's to royalties in the form of ads from sites such as youtube and sales from itunes.
They were never going to block used games because it would have been too much of a drastic change and because they know too many people still prefer physical media.
Keep in mind that while used games will still be a reality on next gen consoles this is not the direction the industry is moving towards, no company is going to block used games and make themselves look like the bad guys while simultaneously giving an advantage to competitors, Instead physical media will subtly be phased out in the form of digital media, this will in turn eliminate used games, this is obviously a better method than to block used games outright.
You can already see how Sony is trying to make digital purchases easier by not even having to wait until the game is fully downloaded before playing it, By the time the 9th generation of consoles is released digital media will be so perfected and so many people will be familiar with digital content that physical media can be phased out with almost no opposition.
I am not a fan of what they are planning to do, I am subscribed to GameFly and i have never purchased a digital game, but i am just looking ahead and there is no denying where things are headed.
This is a complete rip off, you can buy a full fledged laptop with an i7 for that price, You can even get the Surface Tablet which has an i5 processor for that price.
@eddienoteddy : No one here is interested in these stupid Apple articles, They have nothing to do with gaming and they just make you and GameSpot seem biased towards Apple.
