The fanfiction contest has started and the first pairing is Puppyshipping (Jou/Kaiba) aka, MY LEAST FAVORITE OF ALL PAIRINGS IN EXISTANCE. Anyone have plot bunnies that don't involve sex or Jou getting beat by his dad? Hmm... or maybe I could do a parody...

Hey guys, it's fanfiction contest time again!!! Anyone who wants to compete in Computerfreak101's Challenge Yugioh Pairings Contest! Here's the signup, and here's where to find more info about the contest. Bsically, you get a Yugioh pairing, and have a week to write a one-shot. It can be AU, AE, crossover, deathfic, angst, humor, parody, whatever the heck you want, it just has to have some suggestion of that pairing. You can even kill off the pairing characters or have them break up or something. It's been a really graet writing experience for me, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their writing!

Well, I sort of am, I'm just taking a break. I spent most of today reading Eyeshield 21 and writing papers. The papers are incredibly boring, so I figured I'd share some of the Eyeshield with you guys. (Eyeshield 21 is a really great football manga/anime for those who don't know.) Here's the Yugioh scene in case anyone's confused. (Okay, maybe it doesn't look EXACTLY the same, but I'm a rabid polarshipper. I thought of this (starting at around 2:00) when watching that one episode of Family Guy where Meg gets the news internship but the nerdy guy is there and anyway he jumps off a roof and she breaks his fall. Yeah. I thought of polar.)

So, we've gotten through three out of five shows. Last two are this weekend. That's why I haven't been online that often, in case anyone was wondering. Show's going great, but it will be nice to have some free time once it's finally over. ^_^;; Um... don't have much more to say, I guess... think I'll go catch up on homework...

Anyone remember the past couple years when I stopped posting (or at least started complaining about lack of time yet still posted) on the boards around this time of the year? Well, it's musical time again! In case you didn't guess from the list of 29 colors, we're doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this year. And, much to my surprise, I got a named part! (not to mention a cross-gender one ^_^;; ) I'm Zebulun, the fourth-youngest (according to the song: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Napthali, Issachar, Asher, Dan, ZEBULUN, Gad, Benjamin, Judah) brother of Joseph! So I spend the first half of the show tring to kill the main character, and the last half trying not to be killed by the main character. Quite fun. :P And I'm married to a freshman. But she's a good wife. XD

So this Sunday starts our Hell--excuse me, TECH week, and Friday begins our run of shows. It's a really fun show, and I'm glad we're doing it, though I would've preferred something where I could wear proper shoes, because I am very scared of getting splinters and Ra knows what else in my foot on that stage. I'm hoping they'll let some of us wear fisherman sandals, because from the picture I saw online, I don't think half-soles cover much foot. Anyway, feet fears aside, I'm really excited for it (easy costume--shirt and pants!) because it's a really fun show. Andrew Lloyd Webber is amazing. I love this show. Working was kind of... meh. Seuss was WOW, but the songs get kind of old after a while. Joseph just keeps on going. Like that list of colors. XD

New fanfiction, and descriptions added to all fanfiction. Still looking for people to catalog and make it look spiffy. :D

Lots of news about books, movies, and theater today. Thought you all might like to know.
First of all, it has been officially announced that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be split into two movies. (Google it yourself if you want proof. A very HP-knowledgable friend told me)
Second, the third Inheritance book has just been titled. "Brsingr". To be honest, I don't really care what it's called because I think they're just big LOTR ripoffs, but they ARE well-wrtten, so I read them anyway. It'll be published on Sept. 20.
And finally, RENT, the Tony award-winning Broadway musical has announced that it will end its run on June 1, ending with just over 5,000 performances, the seventh-longest running Broadway musical of all time. (The Fantasiks, the longest running musical, is not included because it's off-Broadway) RENT also was made into a movie in 2005. (or 2004?)
