RB, here's the fanfic I promised you. Keep in mind, I wrote this a while ago when I still believed most of the dub, so if they say stupid things, that's why.

You already know I'm diehard polarshipper, so this is a Jou x Mai fic. It's a rewrite of Fighting for a Friend 5 (A Bitter Victory) I wrote it before I saw the episode, then completely rewrote it last summer. So it's not a total ripoff. I also unfortunately wrote while I still belived the dub, so there might be a couple of shaodw realm references. And it's in script format. I'm not sure why  I did that. Maybe to speed up the typing. I also write it in all caps. I think that was because I thought it was supposed to be all caps because it was script format. Sorry if you don't like it that way. 

Also, I have NEVER posted a fanfic on the internet before. (Well, there's those fun little ones, but I don't count them) I have a friend who I wanted to show first, but it's been a year and a half since I wrote this, so he'll just have to read it later. So RB, I guess you'll be the first to read it. I guess that's enough of an introduction. So, without further ado, my unnamed rewrite of Fighting for a Friend!

JOEY: YOU WANT TO DUEL ME, RIGHT?

MAI: AND YOU DON'T WANT TO. WELL, TOO BAD! I'M TAKING YOUR SOUL WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

JOEY: WHO SAID I DIDN'T WANT TO DUEL?

MAI: WHAT?

Joey's duel disk activates. He points at her.

JOEY: YOU WANT A DUEL, YOU GOT ONE!

MAI: (laughs evilly) DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU.

They step back, and prepare for the final battle. With no Valon to intervene this time, one will lose their soul.

BOTH: DUEL!

Now we'll check on the gang. They are running around the town trying to find Joey.

TRISTAN: MAYBE HE GOT LOST?

YAMI: LET'S HOPE THAT'S ALL. IF HE GETS INTO A DUEL...

Yami has no need to finish, as they are quite aware what will happen if Joey gets into a duel (with someone who plays the Orichalcos, of course)

Back to the duel.

MAI: I'LL GO FIRST, THEN. I SUMMON CYBER HARPIE!

Nothing new, I see.

MAI: I'LL SET TWO CARDS FACEDOWN, AND END MY TURN.

JOEY: MY MOVE! *I CAN'T HOLD BACK LIKE THE LAST DUEL. I HAVE TO SHOW HER WHAT TRUE DUELING IS. OR LOSE MY SOUL TRYING. (out loud) I SUMMON PANTHER WARRIOR, AND PLAY SCAPEGOAT!

MAI: YOU ARE SO PREDICTIBLE. I ACTIVATE NIGTMARE TRI-MIRROR! NOW, I GET ANOTHER 4 HARPIES.

JOEY: THEY'RE STILL WEAKER THAN MY PANTHER!

MAI: ARE THEY?

JOEY: WHAT? (gasp) *THE FACEDOWN CARD! IS SHE BLUFFING? IF SHE IS, AND I DON'T ATTACK, SHE COULD WIPE ME OUT. IF SHE ISN'T AND I DO ATTACK, SHE'LL STILL WIPE ME OUT. (out loud) I'LL... (hesitates)

MAI: WELL?

JOEY: ATTACK! DESTROY HER HARPIE! (a scapegoat is sacrificed)

MAI: HA! I ACTIVATE RUSH RECKLESSLY!

JOEY*: NO!

Cyber Harpie counterattacks and destroys Panther Warrior. Joey loses 500 life points.

MAI: YOU LOST 500 LIFE POINTS, YOUR ONLY STRONG MONSTER, AND NOW IT'S MY TURN. AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING TO WIN!

JOEY: JUST MAKE YOUR MOVE! (he has 3500 LP)

MAI: OH, I'LL MOVE. FIRST, I'LL SACRIFICE TWO HARPIES FOR...(pause for dramatic effect) HARPIE'S PET DRAGON!

Harpie's pet dragon appears, then gains 900 points for the other 3 harpies.

MAI: NOW, IT'S TIME TO TAKE YOUR SOUL.

JOEY(fearfully): NO... DON'T PLAY IT...

That's right folks. Mai is going to activate the Orichalcos.

MAI: HA! I ACTIVATE... THE SEAL OF ORICHALCOS!

(cue Orichalcos music) The Orichalcos activates. All of Mai's monsters gain 500 points. Harpie's Dragon has 3400, and the Harpie Ladies have 2300.

MAI: I'VE WAITED FOR MY REVENGE FOR A LONG TIME. (she looks at Joey, red eyes gleaming, Orichalcos shining) NOW, THERE'S NO ESCAPING IT.

Wow, I haven't posted on this blog since I started. That was stupid of me. Anyway, I went to Tekkoshocon for my first anime convention today! I was planning to cosplay as Asuka Tenjoin (Alexis Rhodes) but that never happened. SO I just went as myself. I took pictures of every yugioh cosplayer there, which totaled 4. And two of them changed costumes and I got pics of both costumes. There was a Zane (though I wakled by like 5 times before I realized who he was), Preistess Isis, Mahad, and Kaiba(battle city). Then the Kaiba guy and Mahad (who was like 7 or 8 or something) changed into their corresponding future/past characters, Preist Seto and Dark Magician. And I met Caitlin Glass!!! And got her autograph! And she even drea a little heart that said "EE + WR" inside it! Which of course, is my second favorite anime pairing. Which I told her. Then I got a picture with her. And the guy in line next to me was nice enough to take a picture. And during the VA panel, someone asked her about if it was hard voicing when you know thing your chradters deosnt or something like that, and she told this really funny story. She was at a friends house, and they were watching TV and came on FMA. It when CN kept reruning the first season forever. She hadn't started voicing the second, so Winry doesn't know who killed her parents, and so Caitlin didnt know. And so FMA came on and it was the episode where we find out that ROy killed Winry's parents and she started crying on her friends couch going "that's my parents" and her friend's like "huh? WTH?" and shes like "no, on the show, on the show" it was really funny when she told it anyway. and then Greg Ayres asked if it was a spoiler and she said no and asked poepl to raise their hands if they saw it, and some guy raised his hand and Caitlin apologized and it was really funny. yeah. And there were 2 Als, 20 or so Eds and countless Roys, Hawkeyes, Falmans, etc, possibly a Bradley, at least one Winry, and a dozen or so homonculi (possibly more since I've only seen up to episode 16, and dont know what anyone other than lust, glutonny, and envy look like) So all in all, I had a really good time. I even entered a yugioh contest, but lost in the 1st round. I expected to lose all of them, but I won one duel. That was unexpected.

Odds are no one is reading this, so I won't be putting a whole lot of effort into it. BUt wait... if no one's reading it, then this won't be read, which means you'll never know that no one's reading it, but to know no one's reading it, you'd have to be reading it, in which case someone would be reading it, and... ah, forget it. Anyway, like my info says, I am a huge yugioh fan. I'm sure if any of my friends are reading this, they're already thinking of how they're gonna make fun of me. So what do I like other than yugioh? I like pretty much anime I watch, which isn't many. I don't get Cartoon Network, so I'm limited to Kids WB and *shudders* 4kids tv. Actually, I only like three of the animes I get. Yugioh, Shaman King, and One Piece. Shaman King is ending, so soon it'll be down to two. I hate everything else on 4kids tv (except Mew Mew Power--I've never watched it, and therefore cannot pass judgement) And I hate Pokemon. The less said about that the better. Other genres I enjoy include the crime scene shows, including CSI, NCIS, etc. The only one I watch reguarly is NCIS, though. CSI is getting pretty dark. I don't like it as much. NCIS is much funnier. It just gets a bad rap 'cause its a Navy show, so everyont thinks its stupid. There's not much else on TV thats any good. Reality shows suck (Die, Survivor, Die!!!) Sitcoms are all the same. I hate most sitcoms. Seinfeld is hilarious. That's pretty much it. Soaps are horrible. Talk shows are boring. Game shows are okay, I guess. My interests not having to do with Tv include the drawing and reading of manga. Manga favorites are Yugioh (duh) and Tsubasa. I also like movies, specifically, those directed by, written by, and drawn by Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki's works are pure genius. Some say he is the Disney of Japan. Some say the Kurosawa Akira of animation. I say he defies analogies. There has never been an animation filmaker so influential (or brilliant) as Miyazaki. Even if you don't like anime, you will love his movies. Music favorites are: Maroon 5, Lifehouse Switchfoot, Reliant K, Audio Adrenaline, Simple Plan, The Afters, 3 Doors Down, Gavin Degraw (I don't know how to spell that one) That's pretty much me in a nutshell. Other things worth mentioning: I play guitar-- oh, I just heard on the radio, Peter Jennings (the news guy) died. Aww. Anyway-- I play guitar, I like to read. (Real books, too, not just manga) Some books I liked: Harry Potter series, DaVinci Code, His Dark Materials series, Pendragon series, Keys to the Kingdom series, Artenis Fowl series(but not the 4th) and many, many others I don't have time to mention.
