I'm just waiting for the day when a staff member spins what they had for breakfast into a controversial vidya article.

@Sephiroth You'll be lucky if the 720 uses a card on par with the GTX 460.

@Fiscaldeal Yeah, I got what you were saying. I was simply taking a cheap shot at FXAA. As for the quality, given high resolution and a good card, there's a very noticeable difference, especially for distant textures. It almost makes AF pointless. I suppose it's appropriate for mid to low-end cards, but even then, ehhh. But that could just be me. I'm averse to any form of blur, even (especially) DoF.

@Fiscaldeal why would anyone wish to ruin an HQ scene with FXAA? (rhetorical question, obv)

"After all, for pretty much the entire history of the desktop graphics market, the emphasis has been on better performance and retina-melting graphics over any paltry concerns about power consumption". You must be new to the world of GPUs.

I chuckle to myself when folks say that the battle system is broken because fights aren't easy. It's not perfect -the targeting could use some tweaking, along with some balancing (I'm looking at you, Letho)- but it's far from broken. I'd like to see how much they'd rage over a few 80s arcade games. >_>
