I have obtained the glorious distinction of being a Level 28 Bionic Commando. All n00bs shall now bow down before my uber nerdiness!

Hopefully this one makes it to Wii's VC cause I never had the chance to play it :(

Wario about to get pWned in teh face!

Wario getting pWned agian, this time by Kirby.

Snake and Samus duke it out in Pokemon Stadium.

My Wii Friend Code. Add me!!

My Wii # is 0277076306251530

Add me and then PM me your Wii number so I can add you!

I wish Nintendo had made this easier than it is. In a world where Xbox Live exists, this kind of crap is not acceptable, then agian Nintendo WFC is free so you get what you pay for, crap.

BTW, check out my Miis in the Mii parade! :D

My new games for the Week of Nov 19th-26

This week was a bullet to the head of my wallet but I'd say it was worth it! Of course, there was the launch of the Wii and all the game purchases that came with it and I also managed to pick up some bargain 360 games, including a used copy of PGR3 and those hilariously stupid but complete worth it, Burger King promo games. I also gave the games a score on how much I enjoyed them and a comment that best describes the game. Hope this helps those who may be thinking about getting these games.

Wii

- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 10/10
The perfection of perfect. This is why we play games.

- Ray man Raving Rabbids 9.3/10
The best use of the Wii-remote so far, Rayman is funny, witty and most of all, FUN. My props to Michel Ancel and the skilled Beyond Good & Evil team.

- F-Zero (SNES Virtual Console) 8.2/10
Still fun after all these years. Fun and challenging. Lack of multi-player has always disapointed me.

Xbox 360

-Project Gotham Racing 3 8.5/10
Possibly the best racing game so far on the 360.

-Sneak King 7.3/10
Worth over and beyond it's $5 price. Funny as hell.

- Big Bumpin' 6.8/10
multi-player is a hoot. Worth the $5.

- Pocketbike Racer 5.1/10
The weakest of the Burger King games. I'd give this one pass next time you go to BK.

PC

- FarCry 8.0/10
A great PC FPS, the CryTek engine still looks impressive even after two years.

The King always gets teh ladies:wink:

WTF is wrong with you People? *Concerning Zelda's Score.*

* This is concerning the ****fest going on at System Wars right now*

A lot of people here are taking one person's word on Gamespot as the be all and end all of the quality for Zelda on Wii, that is just wrong. Zelda is a AAA game on  the Wii, the only place this flopped is in the mind of Microsoft and Sony fanboys on a single gaming forum. System Wars is a game, yes the Wii now has its first "flop" and the Sheep have been "owned" but that's only here at System Wars and it stays here at System Wars and does NOT take away anything from the greatness of the game. And this goes for ANY game on ANY platform not just Zelda.

Also, to the Nintendo people, It's sad to see some of you making personal attacks on Jeff just because  he had a different opinion than you.  That's all his review is, HIS OPINION. Claim down people, go buy a Wii and Zelda on Sunday and enjoy it.

The Fanboy Test

Here are the results:

Nintendo Fanboy: 69%
Sony Fanboy: 32%
Microsoft Fanboy: 41%

"You are a gamer, since you like all the systems, but Nintendo is your weapon of choice. But you don't show disdain for any system."

A bigger Nintendo precentage then I thought I'd get but it seems to be accurate.

In other news, here's a pic of my new favorite cartoon character from my new favorite TV show, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends:

Viva Pinata! Microsoft's Pokemon?

It looks like MS is going all out with the whole pinata thing. Two sneak peek episodes of the Viva Pinata TV show popped up on Xbox Live Marketplace a while ago (did anyone even know there was going to be a TV series?). Out of curiosity I downloaded both and watched them and I have to say that I think Microsoft has a hit on their hands. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon (post 1998 ), Viva Pinata successfully replicates the Pokemon formula while having it's own soul.

After watching two episodes of the TV show the similarities to Nintendo's own mass media god are evident. Like Pokemon the world of Viva Pinata is populated with distinct species of cute critters and, like Pokemon, said critters have the ability to "evolve." The ability to evolve (although not actually called evolving) is exhibited in the second Xbox Live episode where a duck pinata eats a berry and transforms into a purple goose pinata. The process is shown again when a Horsetashio (a horse pinata) evolves into a Zoomba (a zebra pinata) by eating the same berry. The first sneak peek episode also hinted to the existence of rare pinatas (Unicorn and Dragon Pinatas) that will undoubtedly play the same role legendary Pokemon do as a coveted trophy for the trainer or in Viva Pinata's case, the gardener.

But, like I said, Viva Pinata has it's own soul. Unlike Pokemon, Viva Pinata has a distinctly western style with a hint of a Pixar meets Spongebob sense of humor (at least for the show).
Also unlike Pokemon, the pinatas in the TV show have their own personality and can all speak. Gameplay in the video game is also radically different in that unlike Pokemon the player in Viva Pinata in a gardener not a animal trainer. The player plants and manages a garden in order to attract pinata species and create a stable and living pinata eco-system.

Even if it's not the next Pokemon, Viva Pinata looks like it has a bright future and will serve as a great kids/family addition to the Xbox 360's mostly teen and young adult centered line-up. That said, this may also be a sort of "return to form" for Rare, making Microsoft's investment in the development team finally pay off. I don't know about most of you but I'm definitely picking up Viva Pinata later this year.

This and Gears of War for the Holidays. You got to have balance...
