Syphon Filter is awesome!!!

I was browsing through a second-hand electronics store at a permanent flea market thing my town has a long time ago, and spotted all three original Syphon Filters, and got the first two because so many people consider them classics.  I got home, shoved them into my dust-covered PS1 collection, and never touched them again.  Until recently anyways.  I was really bored yesterday, so I decided to give the original one a try, and despite the hideous sprite-based graphics, the gameplay holds up suprisingly well.  It definitly won't be relegated back to the dust-heap anymore!

And please still comment on my last blog post, I really need recommendations there. Thank you! :)

Spring Break Ahead!

I only have to go to school two days next week, Monday and Tuesday, and then I get off the rest of the week, plus Monday the next week. Yay for me!!! :D And now a question. I already own the original Ninja Gaiden for Xbox, and am thinking of trading it in and buying putting that money toward Ninja Gaiden Black, it has a bunch of extras.  You guys think it's worth it? I'm also considering a few other things instead: a wireless router, which I've wanted FOREVER (with the new Syphon Filter game with online for it), or Kingdom Hearts II maybe, but  I don't really wanna spend $50 for it, because I know it's gonna be $20 eventually, and then I'm gonna regret buying it for $50.  Your thoughts?

which one?

this coming weekend I'm getting:

(A. Final Fantasy X

(B. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

(C. Panzer Dragoon Orta

Which one should I get people? Recommendations please! :D

Say hello...

...to a good friend of mine from real life, Runeskaper! (believe it or not, he's addicted to Rune Scape)  Say hello to him, read the insane ramblings in his blog, and add him to your friends list! It took me forever to convince  him to get on GS, so make his experience fun and exciting, so he'll stay on! :D

And on another note, I wrote my update for the Intelligent Pixelante Union, so go read it! (it's about the direction innovation in games might go).  Also, I finally made officer in the Discovery Channel Union, and I would like to thank everyone there for that.  And go join them if you haven't yet!

it's just plain obnoxious

Every morning in homeroom, my teacher has had an AWFUL time getting my class to shut up and be quiet, and she has recently found the solution, and to put it lightly, I'm not happy with it.  She has a TV with cable in there, and ever morning she puts it on Spongebob Squarepants. Don't laugh, it's not funny :x .  It's very hard to carry on an intelligent (quiet)conversation or read a book when THAT mess on it.  I swear, I hate cartoons, or pretty much anything on Nickelodeon, it's all brain rot, it all kills brain cells, it all hinders your ability to think, and it's destroying our youth and I hate it. When they SHOULD be carrying on conversations about intelligent topics, or they're supposed to be reading the classics, they're watching cartoons.  You know I am the ONLY student in my ENTIRE SCHOOL who has read a book by Orwell or a book about about philosophy? It's terrible and I hate it all. Thank you for listening to my rant.

And on a different, less fury-inducing topic, I'm brain storming for an idea for an update in the Intelligent Pixelante Union, and suggestions will be appreciated.

best book ever

I can't decide what my favorite book ever is, there are to many to pick from. 1984, To Kill A Mockingbird, Fahrenheit 451, and then of course there all the Harry Potters... I can't decide, I doubt I'll ever be able to decide.  So, can anyone else name their favorite book ever? Or, SOME of your favorite books ever anyways.

the anti-kiddy gamer

I got Sly 3 this weekend, and it's awesome.  However, I have gotten some feedback from people telling me "why did you get some junky kiddy game?" This bothers me to no end.  Some great games are kiddy games by definition: Lego Star Wars,  all the Sly Coopers, the first Ratchet and Clank (which had the best platforming of all of all of them),  The first Jak and Daxter (they gave in to the anti-kiddy gamers in first sequel), Kingdom hearts, and pretty much any first party Nintendo game (other than RE4. Go figure  ).  It's stupid to not play a game because it's "kiddy". And if you are one of them, a word of advice: change your ways! Sure, you won't get your buckets of blood, and gallons of gore, but more than likely you'll get some great platforming and gameplay.  You just don't know what you're missing.

weekend plan changes

well, I have wrestled with this decision, and have decided not to borrow very much from the 360-savings bank, however I am going to buy Sly 3, which I have wanted for a while. (last blog post is null and void)

cool weekend ahead!

well, this weekend should be good.  I'm gonna take a loan from the 360-savings bank and buy myself a wireless router, the new Syphon Filter PSP game, and one other as-of-yet-undecided PSP game.  recommendations accepted and expected! :) (I've already got socom fire team bravo, prince of persia revelations, lumines, wipeout pure, and coded arms)
