Now this one will have a small group of people with a grin on their faces, others will sit there and say WTF?, but number 8 is a game that i truly loved and beat many times on release, and thats why number 8 belongs to:

Spider-man 2 (PS2 2003)

Now reasons why i loved this game so much can be seen all the way back to my youth. As a kid i wanted to be Spider-man and swing through New York fighting crime, but since I struggled with heights and could not for the life of me create webslings from my arm this game managed to create that world for me, albeit i was 16 at this point so i was a very big kid till i got to see what it was like to be spider-man!

Yes the graphics will not amaze many and the game play may not be that glitchy-free but this was a serious bit of fun and the first time you climb all the way to the top of the empire state and take a look around just makes you think of how cool and big your new play pen is!

I am not going to sit here and convince you that this should be on everybody's top ten list as i know a lot of people did not like it as much as i did, but for a movie tie-in video game this was seriously top draw and due to the fact that it made me feel like a big kid all over again it fully deserves a spot in my list :)

I am always the first one to admit that I need to get out more, even though I am down the pub must nights :S but anyways my latest project is well underway, and you wouldn't believe it unless you see it, so here is some early on concept works within my latest film noir and sin city inspired comic series called The Max Payne files, and no your eyes are not fooling you, it does feature Solid snake! I do apologise for them being such big images but when you shrink them it just doesn't look right lol!

So what you think of the design? still early days so tweaks are still happening!

Number 9 is a very good game and a very recent game in my top ten list, although I do not consider it to be the best in the series... so that is why the number 9 spot belongs to:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Playstation 3 - 2008 )

Now just because it only got to number 9 I am not going to rally off a list of reasons why it is not the greatest of all time, lets remember that this is a list of greatest games of all time to me so it's not like number 9 is a bad spot to be in!

Metal Gear Solid 4 see's the main series protagonist of Solid Snake on his final mission to rid the world of the Patriots - a company that has control over war in theory through ID control ranging from people to weapons and even emothional control. When this power falls into the wrong but well known hands of Liquid Ocelot it then becomes a last ditch effort for Old Snake to save the world one last time.

The game is visually stunning, offering some of the best graphics you will see on a current generation console, this is ever more present in the big budget cut-scenes that you see more than actual gameplay - unfortunately once again in MGS4 we have the same old issue of cut-scene overkill when compared to actual gameplay, it is not such a bad thing because the cut-scenes simply engulf you into this glorious world but when you also take into consideration that I have completed this game in just under 4 hours by skipping the cut-scenes then maybe a bit more game play should have been thrown into the mix.

The story will go down in history as one of the greatest told within a video game, and the final fight is so emotional and a fitting end to a truly great series; But the best part comes in a shock moment just after the credits start to role.

Number 10: Sonic the Hedghog (Sega Genesis 1991)

So as the story goes; i recieved my first ever console at the tender age of 6 on my birthday... and ever since then i have been somewhat addicted to gaming. Sonic the Hedghog was my first ever game and I played it for hours on end through all the levels countless times and defeating doctor robotnik (now Dr. Eggman) till he was red in the face.

What made Sonic such a big inspiration to me was its bright and imaginative Landscapes, its fast paced feel and also the leading character. The overall design of the game had varied levels of difficulty and design, personal favourite throughout the whole of the sonic catalogue will always be the Casino levels - they was always so much fun!

What truly makes Sonic so much fun is it's simplisity in gameplay through the way it has been executed; in Sonic the Hedghog there is hardly a moment when you really need to slow down, but if you try to complete the game through just running to the end you will get caught out many times :) but untill later adaptations in 3D came along this never grew tiresome and practise made perfect this game flowed so well.

Eventually surpassed by Sonic the Hedghog 2, but never did that game have the same feel i had about this one. In Sonic Sega found a mascot, and in Sonic i found a new past-time :D

Well I am never one to big myself up and when asked to make a banner of the Joker for my mates website i was a little bit puzzled where to start, since it is my favourite fictional character of all time I wanted to make it gritty, grungy and different, so i started it last night and for a further 2 hours tonight i tweaked it a little more until I simply said "yes"... and alas it was complete, the design compiles of a singular image that i modified to look like a stencil outline, i also designed a canvas backdrop that had been crunched up to give it a distressed look and finally dropped the lights around the corners so that your eyes focus on the centre. Fellow banner makers out there i would love constructive criticism on this because I am aiming to top this one now and even if you don't make banners please let me know what you think of it :) (please note that some browsers like firefox may not show the full banner)

Now i usually will be the first to admit that video games turned to movieshave always sucked (putting it lightly) and I am patiently waiting for the one to alter this trend. October will see the release of the latest one to give it a go in the form of Max Payne, unfortunately they are stepping into my territory of games that I love and will feel the wrath of me if it is yet another poor conversion.

Things that could make it a good film are 1.) the lead actor is Mark Wahlberg - may not be the biggest thing since sliced bread but has proven that he can act through films like the Departed, and while he is not my first choice for the lead role I still think he could make a very good Max Payne. 2.) the world of Max Payne itself, inspired by action movies as it is it should not really struggle on the action front; and the story is actually very well written and if stuck to this could actually have a great little character development angle to it. 3.) the teaser trailer was very cool and at the end of this blog there are some links to all the available trailers. Finally 4.) the director John Moore is not a newcomer and has directed action in the past (behind enemy lines) and judging by the trailers he has plenty of idea's.

Things that are looking bad are 1.) The second trailer released today was not as promising, showing off more but none of it really giving you that sense of wow, 2.) the valkryie demons better be a hallucination because they will not work in the real world of Max Payne. 3.) Mila Kunis (that 70's show) will always be a pretty face for me and cannot pull of the badass action chic in my eyes! 4.) we have always had a good feeling about games to movies and been let-down every time, and finally 5.) I can almost gaurantee it will be toned down for the nowadays teen friendly 15 rating, meaning that the controversial drug created nightmares will not be nearly as scary as they was in the games.

Well i like to keep busy and really cannot stand being down so Im fighting back by keeping myself active through this site lol! I created some groovy banners and I hope the people who they was for really like them as I do take pride in my work, I have a new favourite and it is not PS related! (shock horror) and that belongs to Liamb303...but one thing that is keeping me going is that I am near to lvl 10... and that means unfortunately that you will have to put up with video blogs! now i love to entertain and will strive to make them as funny as possible so if you don't laugh then I have failed lol.

Cheers for all the messages on the previous blog i do fully appreciate them and i am sending out hugs to you all :D if you require a banner my slate is currently clean (for once) so request away i will turn my work to most things (except naughty pornographic ones of course!) catch you soon :)

Apologies kids but even Hellboy feels heartache, and it is with deep regret that I have to say that I am single again and need a few days to get my head around things; it came as a complete shock and as I am writing this I have that feeling of being completely dead inside and I don't know what to do.

Please give me a few days to get over things and I will be back as happy as Larry and ready to bring all the things I do in a blog back, but for now I will probably be signing off from Blogs while I get me head straight.

Well i have had a very productive day and have made 3 more banners! this is my last ones for now except for requests to which you can ask for anytime, i'm happy with these ones especially the simplistic big boss one, don't ask me why but I was going to do more with it but got to where it is and thought it looked ace and did not want to over do it, hope you like them :)

I decided to not shrink the big boss one down to fit the page because i want to show them in the correct resolution, so there may be a bit missing off the banner in the preview, but boy do i love that one lol!
