With Little Finger gone, one wonders how long Bran can last, considering no one can deceive anyone while he's alive. Heck, he could undo the last 7 seasons if he wanted to, couldn't he??? Why not just have the show end uneventfully, with a dazed Sean Bean saying "let's stay home" all day long.
Last night's episode mostly sucked but the rest of this season has been everything I hoped for. LAST season was horrible because it clearly was heading toward a reset (of course Aria's not going to remain a faceless servant assassin and of course an evil cleric isn't going to hold the show hostage forever). This errand to obtain a walker is definitely a time waster, but at least it resulted in Dani seeing the walkers first-hand and a dramatic dragon death. Concrete things are still happening and war is moving closer.
This doesn't look good. Jackie Chan has as much business playing a sad-sack as Arnold Schwarzenegger does. And while this is a quality director at the helm, the premise and characters sound cheesy and unbelievable. But if the subject matter still appeals to you, consider seeing 2010's Edge of Darkness, another movie by this director and starring Mel Gibson.
I bought in at the kickstarter and it looks fine for a year away. I'm optimistic. What I don't get, though, is a) why the art style needs to be so divisive and b) why a 3D engine is used. I admit that I don't play a lot of modern side-scrollers but it seems difficult to make things like jumping work as expected. I bought in thinking it'd be cheaper/ quicker to make because it's 2D.
This is probably the best value proposition Analogue has offered so far: built-in everdrive, analog and digital, and "bonus" other systems. IMO this is just a stop on the way to a far more comprehensive all-in-one system, and I don't see FPGA consoles maintaining resale value. But for someone starting out that is willing to spend the money, it's all you could ask for.
