Wow! I never would have guessed that this whole "remake" thing would have a satisfying conclusion. I never played the original FF7, maybe I'll give this a chance.
@mattsaroni24: The current Switch is a poor fit for kids and Nintendo has cut off the 3DS even though they "stated" that they haven't. This means they'll need a cheaper and more durable Switch. OF COURSE it's happening.
This "what-if" scenario, that toys are alive, was good for one excellent comedy. Since then they've all been world-class downers that teach kids to feel guilty about inanimate objects. It's creepy, Disney.
I always thought it'd be cool if Snoke turned out to be possessing innocent creatures to protect himself. The Snoke we knew would turn out to be just a tortured innocent and the real Snoke would have a surprise identity. I'd hoped it would be Poe Dameron, but the Emperor works.
Black Widow being a Skrull could certainly explain why her arms didn't detatch when she hitched a ride on that glider in Avengers. Seriously though, to do this would undercut all of her known MCU backstory. I think the future for Black Widow is as the Avengers' boss, mostly behind a desk. Marvel will either have to bench the less superpowered characters or promote them.
I'm of the belief that anyone who is going to "die" survived the snap in Infinity War. Narratively speaking it would be more satisfying and the top two candidates survived.
It makes the most sense that Tony Stark (who has Dr Strange as a Doppleganger) and Captain America (who seemingly has Captain Marvel as a Doppelganger) would be cleared off the board. I think Rhodie's gone, too, and the guy with the wings takes on the Iron Patriot mantle. I don't think anyone's going to *die,* though-- I think they're going to be taken out of play-- either through time travel or a trip to another dimension. The audience can move on, the actors can eat a slice of bread, and if Marvel is desperate they can pay up and bring them back.
