Hello again to my GS pals!!  Hope everyone is doing well and having fun playing games to your heart's content!!!  I recently bought Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube, it was 10 bucks at Hastings, and I am totally blown away by how much fun this game is and by it's awesome overall quality.  Really, I haven't seen or played a game this much fun and with such high production values in years.  If anyone out there has a Gamecube or  PS2 and you haven't tried this game yet, I cannot recommend it highly enough.  Graphics, challenge, fun, sound, it's got it all.   Capcom has reinvigorated a great but slightly stale series and has made what is unquestionably the best Resident Evil game ever, and they have simultaneously made a new high water mark for videogames-- yes I am serious and I do think this game is that good!!!!!!   I also just bought Burnout Revenge and I can hardly wait to try it out, but RE4 will be my main game until I beat it at least once !!!!!!   WELCOME!!!!! WHAT'RE YA BUYIN??????????????   WHAT'RE  YA SELLIN'?????   Gotta love the MERCHANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!  RE4 is one of the best videogames ever made, folks !!!!!!!!!  drop that GTA and Saint's Row crap and play RE4, if you haven't yet !!!!!    Capcom has a tough act to follow for RE5 !!!!!!!!  

how is everyone??   I havent posted in a while, dunno why.   I haven't added to the ol' collection much lately, just Flatout for the ps2, which is a lot of fun, and I bought (another) light gun controller, a green Desert Eagle that features recoil and lots of other stuff, I am just a sucker for gun games I guess.  I LOVE shooting stuff!!!  I think GS has gotten kinda stale lately, everybody and their dog seems to be all too interested in signing people to their union, or nagging their members about posting in the union, as if that's the most important thing they have in their lives.  If so, I feel sorry for them.  VERY sorry.  There's LOTS more out there than posting and reading Gamespot, you know, like maybe even playing games occasionally when you get the chance????   That's just me though.. I love GS, but it can kinda be a downer when people treat it like the world revolves around GS, you know??  let me know what you think guys and gals !!!!!!!!!   AND HAVE FUN,   OK???????????????

I recently discovered the yahoo widgets, and I highly recommend them to you if you have not found out about them already.  They are basically a wide variety of different gadgets and fun little items that run on your desktop, mostly made by other users throughout the world.  there are clocks, characters , processor gauges, cams, games like mahjongg and sudoku, etc.,etc......  i have just recently added the halo one, and Master Chief says things in the background every so often, I also like the office space one and napoleon Dynamite.  Check 'em out !!!!! 

does anybody have this game for the PS2??  I found it for 4 bucks new the other day and I didn't buy it, I was just not really into the viewtiful Joe games, evn tho I have the first one, just not crazy about it, I could take it or leave it, you know ??   let me know what you guys think, ok ??   I may go back and get it yet !!!!

Well, Blockbuster made it super hard for me to resist again, and i ended up with three brand new games for less than 15 bucks !!!!!  I got Brothers in Arms, Road to hill 30, Transformers, and Max Payne 2, all for the PS2..  So far I have only tried Brothers in arms, it's ok but not great.  I really would rather just play a straight up first person shooter than have to deal with issuing orders to a squad and having to worry about your squadmates geting killed, and BIA is a squad based game.  Also, the guns kinda suck, (they are hard to aim, and even when you sneak up on a guy and unload on him, he won't drop, even when you shoot him like 10 times from point blank range and the sights are right on his chest or head!!)  there's no health packs, and the controls are not too great.  Maybe I have just played Medal of honor games too much, but at least they are reliable and well done.  BIA is trying to be medal of honor and throw in squad based gameplay and it just ain't working for me.  like I said, it's ok, not great , worth 5 bucks though I guess!!   as always, let me know what you think, I will add more comments as I play the other games, I am also still playing Baldur's Gate dark alliance, which I like, but I like Champions of Norrath a bit more - it has better weapons and more of them and a bit better graphics, and more control over the camera and how your weapons get upgraded and so forth ...

Hey!!  I finished Area 51 today, and although I liked it A LOT more than cold winter, it still kinda ended suddenly. However, it does have a good multiplayer aspect, and it was pretty tough, so that was good.  The last chapter has you running thru several big fights back to back to back, and the final stage has you destroying a giant nuclear ball that shoots fire fromabout 6 or 7 different directions, and then you have to dodge he fire, which kills you pretty much instantly, and you also have to destroy 2 turrets that pop up on the ball, all while trying to stay behind a rotating shield!!!!!  pretty good stuff !!!!  I liked Area 51 a lot- I recommend it. 

Hello all !!  just wanted to let you all know that I finished Cold Winter the other day, and I thought it was a bit of a letdown because it was kinda short.  Also, the controls are sluggish and the graphics are good but certainly not great.  Overall, I guess it was an ok game, but I was surprised at how short it was- fun while it lasted though.  Also, the ending was very anticlimactic, and there wasn't even really a boss battle !!!!  I am now trying to finish Area 51, which I like a lot more, but it is more difficult, mostly due to the lack of ammo and constantly having to switch guns to use whatever gun you have ammo for !!!!   Area 51's multiplayer is lots of fun though !!  Let me know what you guys think of these games, and tell me what you are playing now too.   Maybe I'll get some new games since I am on vacation this week- and hopefully play LOTS more too!!  'til next time, :)

hello!   Just wanted to update my blog and let you guys in on some new games i found, and also to hear any comments you may have aboy them.  A couple of weeks ago i did some scrounging in the game stores and Blockbuster, and got 5 games for not a whole lot of money.  I found Wild 9 and Legacy of Kain Blood Omen for the PS1, and also got a cool GBA game called CT special Forces 2 back in the Trenches.  Then Blockbuster had a big 50% off sale and I got PS2 games Megaman Anniversary Collection and Mortal Kombat Deception for 10 bucks each !!!!  Plus the mortal Kombat game was a 2 disc premium pack that had a lot of extras on the second disc including MK1!!!  It's not great, but for 10 bucks you could do a lot worse!!!!  I had not played the megaman games before, and I was impressed with how hard Megaman is to play .   Let me know what you guys think , ok????
