I vow never to buy a product from any company that seeks to negate my property rights. Never. Take note Bethesda, et al.. You are playing a dangerous game here, and I can guarantee that there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, that feel the same as I do.
@Jay-Pea @brande77 I don't see why it has to be one or the other. They're two entirely different things. Rocksmith is more of a piece of educational software ('edutainment') while Rock Band is more of a proper game.
It was only a matter of time. I'm sure before long, game companies will just be selling upscaled versions of old games for each generation. You'll probably still be playing this game in 20 years, just on the Unreal 6 engine or something.
I wonder how many of those complaining that MS are the scammers are actually going to end up buying an Xbox One. I, for one, am tired of gaming companies screwing over their customers with nickel-and-dime schemes, aggressive DRM, price gouging ($60 retail games, $5 Virtual Console games from 1981, day-one DLC, paid online, etc etc), deliberately shoddy merchandise (Xbox 360), overpriced systems with little-to-no support (Vita), crap customer service (Sony, MS), and the systematic elimination of a consumer's right to do whatever they want with whatever they buy. In the end, I doubt I'll buy any of the consoles. Whatever gaming I do, I'll probably be doing on the PC from here on out. Not that it's much better there, but it's still a lot better nowadays. I'm sick of this garbage.
