I love how game journalists are now just propaganda tools for publishers. Basically the future of gaming is now low cost grind fests that will be imposssible to play competitively without sinking 60 to 100 dollars into anyway
They can go on and on trying to justify or rectify there colossal screw up but it is too late. The damage has been done. Mass Effect will never be the same for me.
Nobody wins in this situation. Mass Effect fans deserved a far better ending then the plot hole filled cookie cutter ending they got but if games are truly an art form then they should stand behind there decisions. As far as I am concerned the damage has been done and can't be undone. While they made a fantastic game overall that ending was a colossal misstep. Promises were made and they were broken. Trying to cover it up post release is a mistake as well. Nobody wins in this situation. Video gaming has been cheapened by this entire affair.
Sorry to say but the people who were not happy with the ME3 ending are not a small vocal minority. Almost everyone I have spoken too in my personal life hates the ending. Enough people hate the ending with such a passion that it has ruined the entire game for them. My personal feelings are that the ending failed to deliver what people wanted closure and answers and even if they "fixed" the ending it would not change how the game originally ended. Bioware lied about everything regarding the ending and as a result have lost my faith. I will not be pre-ordering anything from them until I hear via word of mouth whether it is good or not.
