@dummpymonkey123 @C_A_G_E @Sideways8_4ever @JudgeSim Look at xbox and PS3. There are really only a few really good games released every few months.
the rest are fodder that keep you busy and playing. Nintendo releases a good game every 2-3 months and is missing the fodder. They just need some third party support to bring in the fodder and a surprising good game
@DMND resisting for no reason. It really is a cool game system. Just needs more games and really there are 4 coming out in the next few months and i still have 2 in my play log to get to so no gripes here anymore.
This also takes into account i own other systems so i will not miss out on GTA5, BF4 or FF15.
@jrcast84 To me it looks like a mix between Super Mario 3d (level select) and Mario Galaxy (without gravity addition) mixed with co-op like New Super Mario Brothers.
@Slim_Lyrics @FoxbatAlpha You both know this is as about as relevant to PS4 as MS laying off people in it's windows development sections.
Just trying to share some knowledge. SOE focused on game development and server upkeep for PC related games. They also developed some PS3 games and are in the works on 1-2 PS4 games. They are their own entity focusing on online games for PCs (MMO) Everquest is their cash cow.
@Hekteur @C_A_G_E Your example of hamburgers to rare meal is nothing like purchasing a yearly update of a game.
Never said they should change their business practices. The people buying their games every year also believe they should not change.
The point is their is no need for a defense and if their was the question isn't why do they keep making the game every year; it would be why do people keep buying the games yearly updates every year?
@Kevin Arzola what? His statement assumes two things. You are on a phone/external system with internet access and you PS4 is connected to the net.
The idea is your PS4 has your user name logged in when it is in standby. When you order something through an external device the PS4 that is currently still logged in receives a ping to start the download.
@spartanx169x My exact thought. I actually think always powered on is a must to improve start up times and with low power consumption during stand by modes this is a good thing.
Always online is a different thing. I personally do not care as long as it is not a requirement. Would also like the option to turn off stand by internet access.
