Midway executes full Mortal Kombat vs. DC roster

It does feel a little short. There does not seem to be any of those strange characters, like Noob Saibot. The list seems a bit bland. Not much to be excited about in my own opinion. But I do like Baraka and Jax.

u all know ur gonna buy it so shut up. 22 is alot especially that there is alot more depth here, not like armageddon. im happy, but shocked mileena and cage arent here but they gave kitana some of her moves. all i can say is thank god for no dumb kreate a fighter, that ruined MKA. please never again.

Of all the DC rooster they picked two lame ass character as Lex Luthor and Shazam??? :evil: I'm not that big a DC fan but even I could have picked better choices: Lobo, Bane, Cyborg, StarFire, Killer Crock, The Penguin, Raven, hell even Aquaman would have been better than freaking Lex Luthor and Shazam!

Though I don't think I'll buy this game I am, however, disappointed that they didn't add anyone from "The Watchmen". I mean with the movie coming out and everything it could have been some great publicity since not many people know who they are. I might have given this game a chance if I could play as Dr.Manhatten or Rorschach. Oh well, a man can dream can't he?

I still think this game looks ridiculous. I think I'll hold out for Capcom's next big VS game instead (I personally want Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but I think we all know that isn't going to happen in the west).

Very dissapointed that Reptile didn't show up :( He's iconic in his own right.

Yeah, that's what I've been wondering... the series is known for being quite bloody, gory and having over-the-top fatalities, but most of the heroes they're bringing in aren't like that. What's Superman going to do? Rip off a head/spine a la Sub-Zero? Heat vision meltdown, perhaps? It's just a dumb idea altogether and Marvel vs. Capcom > this, because blending these two universes just isn't working out very well, but that's just me.

The MK list isnt that bad. at the very least we can be thankful they didnt put anyone on there who is younger than mk2. but dc....come on, the best villains they could find included lex luthor? whats he gonns do, money everyone to death?

Theres probably going to be alot of downloadable content for characters and stages and stuff. but what do i care i probably wont get this anyway.

has any of the midway people even ever read dc comics in the last 20 years? where the heck are doomsday, lobo and bane? i'd rather pull my old copy of marvel vs capcom than spend a penny on this stuff.

yeah i agree doubleA but at the same time to stay true to the MK ideaology ( if there is one ) the violence and blood was definetely a eye-candy selling point. Ive still never seen smallville but when i combine T rating with lex luthor and superman I cant stop to think of that damn show and somehow think im gonna get a superman who wonders if his tights make him look fat. batsy4life exactly. Well im sad to see that theres no reptile and no goro. This T for teen rating definetely has me concerned, unless, the rating system has changed. 10 years ago a rated R movie consisted of the word "damn" and boobies, now of-course that would be a pg movie. To get an R rating now, you'd need rambo in a near porn movie. So maybe they've found a way to tweak the rating. Of course if Theres no blood and its like the super NES version of when the first mortal kombat came out, Ed Boon and John Tobias can bend over and say please, cause my cash will go to children with rabies before i'd buy this.

That's a decent list, but with how many characters have been in the games as of late, that seems a bit short. I hope one of two things happens, either each character is tailored very carefully to make them unique and fun, or there will be more characters available throughout time. Either way I'm still interested in this game. Crossovers tend to be fun (I love Smash Bros. and MvC).

There has to be more unlockable people. Some of the other MK games have had quite a larger selection, am I right? And DC has some amazing additions they could make as well. They wouldn't all have to be super popular. Some of my choices could be: Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman(just so you can annihilate him).

Yeah this seems pretty lame now, im not a big fan of any of those characters except for scorpion.

This game has piqued my interest, but this roster is pretty slim, especially with such rich universes to work with.

im not even gonna rent it this is not a MK game it would have been better if it was MK vs KI (Killer Instinct) then you could have gone to the extreme with the traditional finishers and give the MK characters a new look im tired of seeing them like that and the gameplay is still the same just with new features boring as hell on to the next game.........

I hope that there is more people to unlock...

I would've liked Lobo and Kung Lao. I'm not happy with the Lex Luthor idea but I'll wait for the game, maybe he is okay to fight with.

@ivanfred: Oh yeah, I love the Huntress too and would've loved her to be in there (with Nightwing), but I guess she's not quite high profile enough to be there, considering two of DC's "big 7" didn't make it in either (I know they suck, and I'm no fan of those two either, but I guess they still have a certain status as characters at DC).

Pretty surprised Cage didn't make it, since they seem to be going for a more classic lineup. With that in mind, the Green Lantern will probably be Hal Jordan, though I'm hoping for Kyle and Wally West (Flash).

I have to say that the T rating is REALLY disappointing. I really wanted to see Batman or Superman or even Catwoman get torn to shreds by the MK universe but oh well:(

I was hoping for at least 30 fighters. Oh, well, it's a nice set. Besides, they have to save some characters for the sequel.

I hope Lex Luthor's has a special move that will steal 40 cakes.

It would have been awesome to see what kind of fatality The Joker would have in an M-rated Mortal Kombat game.

I think it looks like a great roster. I would've liked to see a few more characters, like Doomsday, Superboy, Reptile, or Johnny Cage, but this has a better roster than Smash Brothers Brawl IMO.
