Midway executes full Mortal Kombat vs. DC roster

this is a superb game but i agree wit most. reptile and johhny cage even goro maybe should have been in that game instead of gay kano who is going to play as him? now on the dc side its all good except maybe take out catwoman and put in robin or aquaman deathstroke is actually a pretty cool character but they should have had more characters then 22 thats the only disapointing thing for this game........9.5!

where are nightwolf, noob saibot, smoke, jade, kenshi, johnny cage, jax and kabal??? i want them in the game darn it!

All you dumb-butts out there that are trashing Captain Marvel, go to a construction site and bury yourself in cement. Shazam! is (sure not very oftenly spoken of) a kick-butt character that should get more attention such as in this game. If you dont like the dang character. THEN DONT PLAY HIM smart ones.

WHERE THE HECK IS RED ARROW!?!?!? He's minor, but would fit into this game PERFECTLY. Green Arrow wouldn't work 'cause he only has range. Red Arrow has range AND many different combat moves. Also, y Captain Marvel? He is without question the boringest charecter in the whole DCU

I wonder why DC wussed out on the fatalities for some of their more evil characters. Sure, Batman wouldn't kill any one, but the Joker has a few thousand deaths under his belt.

Dumbest tie in ever made. Why MK why? Why not Marvel anyways? DC has always had really lame very homo-erotic looking heroes, all clad in extremely tight spandex. T-rating? This in not MK, at least not the MK you have made for fans for the past 15 years MK. You're watering it down for the sake of notoriety, and i hope this game fails so we can see a REAL sequel asap!

-Batman: should've worn something more akin to the Arkham Asylum costume -Green Lantern should've been African American who was awesome in JL show -Joker: YES!! -Shazam: WHY?!?! -Deathstroke/Slade & Darkseid: Were actually characters I was pushing for from the announcement of this game along with Bane (why the hell isn't he in here?) and Lobo + Killer Croc. Hoping for downloadable content with characters. As for MK - sticking with Sub and Raiden. Disappointed with that T rating, but whatever.

Morpheus was from the Sandman novels. And the first volume had some interaction with other characters in the DC universe. I think he could be a sick looking character if done right, and has plenty of options for attacks to fit into the game. My bad on the confusion if you thought I meant he was in Watchmen.

About Captain Marvel, if he's anywhere near the characterization from Kingdom Come expect a serious contender for Supes and at least one fatality that will bow the man of steel. Shazam. Shazam. Shazam.

The game is perfect i really loved it especially the new ideas they made. and the characters especially the joker:)

The main problem with this game is the DC Universe isn't as mainstream as people think. Marvel vs Capcom worked easily because there's so many characters (X-Men, Spidey, Hulk, Iron Man, Blade, etc) that are INSTANTLY memorable by a wide range of people. With DC? After Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, most people's recollection gets fuzzy. Hell, not many people even know who Doomsday is!!!

Their was no character named Morpheus in Watchmen.Puting a Watchmen character in the game would cheapen the graphic novel.

Please don't whine about the 22 character roster -___-; The reason MK:Armageddon was even 60+ characters is because of all the repeats, pallete swaps, lack of varied moves within the characters, and no dedicated fatalities. Sub-Zero could have been Cyrax, Kano could be Sonya, or a custom character could be all the best combined....

They should have thrown in Morpheus. I know he wasn't in the DCU very much/long. But he would have been pretty bad ass I think. And maybe a little sneak peak towards Watchmen. Any one of those guys would have been awesome even though they had their own universe as well.

i'm reasonably content with the character list - but i think the following characters would have made the game really good, and tied in with MK theme Green Arrow Doomsday Bane Lobo! Scarecrow Aquaman Hawkman see Captain Marvel and Lex as a bit of a nothing inclusion - WTF? why put that bloke in?? when you type his name into the search engine on DC's website - he doesn't even register a result! surely one of the abovw deserved a run before him - they all would have fitted into the "darker side" of the DCU that would have fitted this game perfectly. But once again DC want the inclusion of tacky-boring characters, kiddy friendly characters infront of the more dark and interesting types.

Eh, the rosters put in all of the must-have characters, but the lack of characters (22? Really?) is a bit of a disappointment, especially since Armageddon was filled with 60+ character madness. Maybe it was too much to expect a number comparable to Armageddon, with the main focus being tuning up the combat mechanics to compensate for weakened Fatalities (I'm still scratching my head over why a T-rating is really desirable for a series like Mortal Kombat), but really, 22 characters is... eh.

Johny Cage? That comic relif charater? Kung Lao is my fav. How do they leave out such a major character?

I'm very surprised this game is going to be rated T. It gives me the impression that the fatalities are going to be extremely tame. On another note i'm surprised they've got Darksied in there. If my (nerdy) memory serves me well isn't he super-powerful (more so than superman). Although i guess his Omega Effect will be one of his fatalities! Also while he had a lot of powerful abilities i think he was rubbish in hand-to-hand

I hope there is downloadable content in this game like new characters and alternate costumes for the characters. I also hope there's a create a kombatant too

There needs to be so much more in this game. How do you go from a game that had so many characters (albeit so many were pallete swap ninjas) to only 22. I can understand having a pared down roster on the DC side of things, I cannot forgive such a lacking roster from the MK side though. It is almost as barebones as the original MK game. This "cast" is epic fail.

I dont agree with some of the roster for instance they could of had kintaro in the game or bane, clayface killercroc vs reptile even poison ivy would have been kool or ermac so many left out and kung loa is a no contest to the game they did how ever say there would be cameos and secret characters too so we have to wait ans see in any case the game is going to be badass rated teen or not look at streetfigter or tekken or kof teen and still badass there will not be a mortal kombat game like this for a while so enjoy it while it last!

Teen??? wtf!!! has mortal kombat not always been known for their ridiculous but all too necessary violence? i was pumped for this game but now i don't know. plus who the hell decided to put kano in the game he sucks. definitely need to replace him with Kung Lao, reptile or johnny cage.

The whole concept is neat. I mean it's from the ground up it seems. The fatalities will be there, I just hope it's not watered down too much. Seems like they are trying to make it a bit more believable since the "heroes" are going to be in it. DC doesn't want the heroes to be looked at as "semi-evil" with the fatality thing.....probably for the sake of the younger fans. Hopefully that part won't back-fire. The game should be solid. It should be a be seller. Especially due the the fact that it's featured on the two most powerful games consoles right now. It shouldn't be a disappointment. This will be a surprise compared to the last few versions. Change is good sometimes.

I cant wait for this game but my only question is how are the two worlds in the story going to join and is there still going to be fatalitys.

We need some Martian Manhunter and Doomsday on the DC side, and Booster Gold just because he's sort of become an inside joke between my brother and I (that's just me though lol). I don't think Lex deserved that spot the way Doomsday did. He would have made a great boss for the DC side, and stick Goro on the MK side as his counterpart. And cuz Goro owns.

Lex Luthor as a fighter? I was hoping to get Black Canary or Zantana or maybe Supergirl but they can always make a sequal. But still I find this odd if they give yu the full roster of the game without having at least a few secret characters that they didn't annouced I'm just hoping that they have secret characters. To me the line up is good but they could of replace captain marvel with someone else like Martian Manhunter or Bane at laest someone that is cool man.

I was happy with the rosters until i noticed no Reptile. Deadly Alliance did enough of a job ripping him off by making him a lizard.Mr. Freeze would've been nice too.Idc how much anybody loves Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile are the 3 classic badasses of MK.
