Fallout 3 DLC coming to PS3 in June, two new packs in works

To DethSkematik, GTA IV DLC on the PS3 could happen... we don't know the details of Microsoft's deal with Rockstar on this one. I hope it does, because before I got my 360, I got GTA IV for PS3. It is rather awesome on PS3, but I do want to play Lost and Damned on it at some point... after I've actually played the main game, that is :-P. Geez these games are huge nowadays. Fortunately, GTA IV is dirt cheap nowadays, and so I'll pick it up eventually. Lost and Damned is rather low on my to-play list... but I digress. To flip_flop_ : exclusive DLC for the PS3 probably won't happen. The reason that the DLC comes to the 360 first is because A) it's easier and B) PS3 customers don't buy as much DLC. Probably because they don't get as much but I digress...again.

HAHAHA! Oh gee. This is funny and fun, I barely touch my PS3 recently, though hmm I do have fallout 3 for the Xbox, I just hope they do not end up doing a PS3 exclusive DLC then I might be a little torn.

Ah, sweet. At least us PS3-only owners won't feel completely screwed out of their fun anymore. Now, how's about some GTAIV DLC? I'm just kidding...I know it won't happen.

"To all the Sony fans complaining about MS exclusives: Are you as vocal about MGS being PS3 exclusive?" that argument is null and void. here's why. Sony fans are complaining about a MULTIPLATFORM game giving DLC rights to MS. MGS is a full game. don't act like the 360 doesn't have Halo, Gears, Fable, Mass Effect, and the Original Dead Rising. Sony fans are complaining about the fact the MS pays for DLC and is trying to strong arm little victories in order to boost sales. Sony didn't pay Hideo Kojima to make MGS4 for the PS3, Kojima stated many reasons why the MGS series is a Sony exclusive. Just saying if MS wasn't saturating the console business by paying for the rights to any game that looks good then Sony fans wouldn't have anything to say. All this does is have developers lose money when one console group sees how mediocre of a game is a year before it hits their system, as is the case with Last Remnant, Star Ocean 4, Infinite Undiscovery( all games that MS payed tons for to get timed exclusives for by the way...).

To all the Sony fans complaining about MS exclusives: Are you as vocal about MGS being PS3 exclusive? Did you complain this much when Sony paid Square tons of money to keep the Final Fantasy games as PS/PS2 exclusives? This is just what happens in the gaming industry. It sucks when your console of choice is the one getting the shaft, but MS isn't doing anything that Sony didn't do to get/keep itself on top in prior generations. As for the exclusive DLC on the 360, consider yourselves lucky, PS3 only owners. DLC is such a ripoff. Has there been a single DLC pack released for any game that was actually worth $10? DLC prices are outrageous. Personally I am quite glad that I didn't buy the Fallout 3 DLC. I rented the game from Gamefly intending to buy it used. (I don't like the used game industry, but for any game released on PC with SecuRom I make an exception. The devs/publishers deserve to be paid for their work, which is why I am opposed to the used game industry. However, when they attack their own consumers' computers with malware, they don't deserve my money.). I was just about to download the 3 available packs when I found this article. I just can't bring myself to pay $45 for Fallout 3 then $50 for add-ons when the GOTY edition will have it all for only $60.

I am so mad I got this game when it was released. I haven't even played it yet, and might not get around to playing much before the game of the year edition is released. I might just sell my copy for 40 bucks now and wait for the Game of the Year Edition.

im glad this finally happened, i got all 3 dlcs for the 360. im a member of a forum group where a majority of them have ps3's and were all disspointed taht the dlc wasnt coming to the 360, now there'll be more ppl to discuss bout this game. I love fallout3, spent a total of 119 hours on the game. Have completed every bit of it, every side mission . Obtained almost every unique apparel and weapon.

I have PS3 and Xbox 360 the main reason I bought GTA4 and Fallout 3 for the 360 is for the dlc. At least the PS3'ers will have their day in the sun

FINALLY. I was hope my fav RPG makers wouldn't let me down. Bethesda is realseing the awsomenss for the PS3.

Cool, I got the first three DLC packs and I knew there was another one coming, but a fifth one is even better. Still, the game was originally $60.00 at launch, so it's a little unfair that you can buy the goty edition at the same price with all of the expansions included. But still a cool deal for whoever gets that.

@ dontstopmenow01 ~ You asked "Why is it so wrong for MS to have exclusive DLC? ". It's not wrong at all, if it was purely from an exclusive Xbox360 game. Since we all share the same Fallout game, then yes, it was unfair to PS3 users that M$ wanted to keep it. How were we supposed to techinally "finish" the game?

I got the 360 version because I thought it was going to have the exclusive dlc content haha. I own a PS3 too btw. I haven't downloaded any of the dlc for F3 yet and I've beaten the game and all the side-quests except for the Nuke 'o colla challenge quest.

One of the best games ever made! I don't really know how I feel about the DLC "switching sides." I have both the 360 and PS3 so it doesn't effect me much, but I do think that exclusive DLC isn't a bad thing.

@ dmish82 oh cm'on! developers have been doing this for years, people who moan like this are pathetic, what they are doing is simple economic sense. People forget that these are businesses that need to make money and not that dude down the road who has suddenly betrayed you, and as for your point about them not selling well, THAT MAKES NO SENSE! Why on earth would they make more DLC if the original 3 flopped. Imagine yourself as Todd Howard, microsoft offer you $20,000,000 (only an example) to make exclusive dlc for their platforms, you are saying you would say no on this ocasion, purely cuz you dont want to annoy ps3 fans. BULLPOOP!

GOTY edition is a complete joke, you mean I paid 35 for the game then bought 3 add ons for almost 10 each and now they are going to release an edition for 40 with all of them?!!

I could care less wether the PS3 gets the DLC or not, it dosn't affect me in anyway. All I care about are the two new DLCs coming for the PC!

I wonder how much the retail discs will be? If it's 20 dollars each I might as well buy a game of the year edition.

I am not a huge RPG fan, I still have to beat Elder Scrolls IV! I doubt I'll be getting Fallout so while this is good news for PS3 fans it is meh for me.

why is it so wrong for MS to have exclusive DLC? someone explain why its ok for the PS3 to have exclusive dlc, but not MS. stop whining and be happy with what you have.

First off, I thought Fallout 3 was lackluster. With that said... This is just another example of what I hate to see from dev's. They take MS's money to make DLC exclusive. When it doesn't sell as well as they hoped, they then release it to PS3 owners 6 months to a year later to recoup their costs. Sorry, you can call me crazy, but I don't support this. Even if I liked this game I would boycott the DLC because I don't think it is fair to treat the PS3 owners like this. Sorry, but that's my 2 cents.

This makes me happy. The DLC all looked great and I really like Fallout 3. Now, I can play it firsthand. It's a shame that Microsoft even got the idea to secure timed exclusive DLC in the first place. Because, really, in the end, all they did was make a little more money and made PS3 users miserble for a few months.

PS3 fans act as if this is Bethesda throwing MS a middle finger. In reality, MS obviously new this would happen, when there deal went. The timed content was just to add release hype, and to give gamers more of a reason to buy it on the xbox, then the PS3.

I'm happy that the PS3 will get the DLC of Fallout 3, i still don't think it'll get GTA 4's DLC since when Rockstar offered the DLC's to both companies sony passed and microsoft accepted and payed for both DLC to be exclusive at a woping 50m O.o. But this aint about that, this is about fallout 3 ps3 version obtaining the DLC's, of coarse im happy!! i love it!!

Cant wait for mothership zeta. I have the game for both PC and PS3 (PC for mods) and now i can continue the game with the PS3 aswell.
