WarioWare is definitely one of the best games available on the GBA. When I first got it, I thought it would be similar to a Mario Party game, but it was anything but. This game takes reality, twists it upside-down, adds a scoop of ice cream, and then covers it in chocolate syrup, if you know what I mean.

Twists reality upside down: At first, this seemed normal. Wow, was I wrong! In WW, you have to play a series of absolutely crazy microgames, that are 3 seconds long each! One second, you are catching apples, next second you're shooting aliens, and the next second you're eating a banana! This game tests your reflexes, and insanity! You keep playing games until you run out of lives. You have 4 lives, and every time you fail a game, you lose a life. Every now and then, you have a boss game (15 seconds long) that if you win, you regain a life. There are about 10 different categories of microgames, including sports, knowledge, retro, nature, and sci-fi.

Adds a scoop of ice cream: There are many additional things added in this game. There is a practice mode where you can play any single one of the 250 microgames whenever you want! Also, after you beat the game, there are many extras. There is an extremely hard Dr.Mario game that takes longer to beat than half of the normal games on the GBA. There is also Flyswatter, Sheriff, and many others. In addition, there are special requirement modes, like how many games can you win without losing a life, how many consecutive boss fights can you win, a mode with random microgames on the very hard difficultly, and more! There are even four 2-player games, like Chitorie, Chicken, Hurdle, and Dong-Dong!

Covers it in chocolate syrup: Looking closely, you can see how much time Nintendo put into this game. The characters are cool (there is a half-robot dude, an alien with a bowling pin shaped head, and a disco-man with an afro), the text/dialogue is hilarious, and there are many special options to tinker with. Best of all, there is not one loading screen in the game! Hallelujah! To top it all off, back when this game first came out, it was only $20, less than most new games at the time.

Bottom Line: Overall, this is a hidden gem for the GBA, and more developers should try to make creative games like this. This is possibly the best GBA game ever, this game has infinite replay value. The only GBA games that MAY be better than this are Advance Wars 2, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
