@Orontes13: ?It really will. In fact anyone who says stuff like that they immediately assume is me, even if it's someone on the other side of the planet. They then all attack, which the developers allow and even thank them for while being directly responsible for the censoring bans on any naysayers. So why are people positive about this game anyways? Very simple. Supporters of this game universally belong in 1 of 3 groups:

-The aggressive attack animals, which have already been covered.

-People that don't know any better, or are being tricked or manipulated in some way (most media outlets go here, and you can tell they're not really paying attention when they use pre alpha footage for the game...)

-People getting paid off in some way (there's probably a few media outlets here, mostly this is streamers though as streamers are the only reason this game ever had any presence in the first place.

There is also significant overlap between the first and third groups, with some streamers who disapproved of their hyperaggressive advertising contacting me under the condition of anonymity and telling everything they knew. Which admittedly wasn't much, they're super secretive as shady devs generally are.

If it were not for the sheer lengths they will go in making a sale and silencing critics, it would be comedy gold - GotY every year just watching them posture at being hardcore for winning a game they can't lose and where winning is literally picking the classes that do 50 damage instead of the classes that do 5 damage. But because they will take it that far, even engaging in cross forum harassment and real world crimes it's a damn shame no media outlets will actually LOOK at them instead of blindly praising based on hearsay, because then their biggest weapon will turn against them in an instant.

Oh by the way, seen the reviews for the game? They were predominantly negative for a good 6 months, and for good reason. Sure some of those were people complaining it was "hard" because they didn't make the obvious correct choices, but most were because, in one way or another the game was declining in a way that is obvious even for a layperson.

It won't look like that now though. Reddit is their safe place - where all the corruption gathers and supports their groupthink mentality, which they can enforce with mass downvotes and shadowbans and the like. They had them manipulate the reviews, and in a few days 100+ negative reviews were buried, and around 20 positive reviews written 12/28 or later got artificially raised. All so the store page won't condemn them on release.

Kinda excited about Homeworld. Looking forward to a (hopefully positive) review.

man, I have waaaaaay too many games already. so many from last gen that I still need to beat and more still in this current gen. Ill be fine for quite some time.

After so many years I finally get a new Homeworld game, this time it is not set in space but it still looks great.

I know nothing of most of those games so I cannot comment on them. I have followed Darkest Dungeon's development since the beginning and the TL:DR is that it is a classic Early Access scam, complete with every hallmark thereof.

-Glacial development pace.

-Questionable balance, exasperated over time.

-Nonsensicial design decisions.

-Censorship of criticisms.

-Hyper aggressive advertisement.

-Focused entirely on looking good instead of being a good game.

-Community is more toxic than any other, even classic standbys such as MOBAs and attacks as attack dogs for the developers, even committing actual crimes against devoted critics.

-Developers have deliberately surrounded themselves with such people and encourage their behavior.

-Aside from their attack dogs, and whatever uninformed people they can trick and manipulate including many members of the gaming media they don't have any support anymore, as the original target audience (those seeing a Hardcore Roguelike about making difficult decisions) very quickly realized they would not get any of that here and those who did not simply leave in Feburary in favor of other games witnessed a very shocking and very rapid decline - or whether, we realized for all the potential this game seemingly had at first, it would never realize any of it and would move further away every patch.

Now if you want a game about making obvious choices, where you just run around and spam damage with high damage characters because every other mechanic and dynamic in the game is not viable, if you like infinitely grinding resources in dungeons that run the same as each other and the same as all the other runs, if you like always doing the same things in the same way - that is, if you are looking for a game that literally can and has been run successfully by basic scripts, and you can completely distance yourself from and disregard absolutely everyone else associated with the game? You might get a few hours out of the unique art style and novel, if incredibly out of place narration. By the time that wears off though you start seeing repeat everything, and it's been 5 hours so no refund for you. So if that's what you want I suggest a loot farming game with interesting itemization and better graphics. Whatever you pick, corrupt developers like that don't deserve your money.

I'm definitely picking up the first 3 tomorrow. RE HD was great, especially since I didn't get to play the original when it came out, Darkness Dungeon - I haven't touched since I don't touch early access stuff so I don't get spoiled/bored when the finish product gets out and Blade and Soul looks awesome and I'm probably gonna do the same thing I did in Guild Wars 2, level up and forget about it, but I had fun in that time I leveled up and this one looks fun too.

The Homeworld game is going to be a ground based strategy game? Sounds like typical cashgrab off a name. Oh well, after watching E8 I have lost all hope of remakes ever being any good. 2016 still looking like a boring year for gaming.
