NBA Live 14 and NBA 2K14 Full Court Comparison on the PS4

The last good Live was 2003 with Jason Kidd on the cover. After that they started phoning the game in and made it into an arcade game, while 2K actually kept improving their game to make it actually a real basketball sim. Live got so cartoonish and jokey letting you shoot 3s from half court every time down the floor that people stopped playing it. I dont trust EA to make a good basketball game ever again after ruining Live.

Also, GS needs to get some actual sports gaming fans to review and talk about sports games with some semblance of knowledge of the sports they are talking about.

EA is just three year behind 2k. I really want 2k take another crack on NHL game. I love hockey and really want to play good NHL hockey game, but EA just puts out one new game every console generation, because there is no competition. And 2k really missed another great opportunity to make next-gen NHL game for PS4 and Xbone now that EA are just ignoring this year on next-gen consoles when it comes to NHL. There's port of Madden, Fifa and NBA, but no NHL. 2k had great chance here to come back. But no. No next-gen hockey untill next year. God I hate EA.

I havent played an NBA game for like 8 years but daamn I might do that again after seeing 2k14.

But before I do that how does the game look and perform on PC? cuz developers for some reason use crappier engines on the pc unlike Consoles Thx. :)

comparing 2k and Live is dumbest shit I ever heard in my life....why would NBA live be like 2k if their two totally different games....That's like saying WCW and WWF/E need have the same matches, products and pay-per views at the same time at the same place

I am officially addicted to NBA 2K14. I have not put KZSF in since I put that disc in. My Player is awesome.

I really wish 2K could make NFL game again, but there may be hope since EA was rule guilty of a monopoly they may have to relinquish there exclusive NFL rights. I know that they had to refund money to those you signed the paper work, but as to the extent of how far the ruling go I have no clue.

Echh, Uncanny Valley all over the place... I don't care how close to realism it is, it would be kind of painful to play 2k14 for hours on end with that creepiness. Hopefully in a couple years we'll be out of the valley.

The NBA Live LeBron , kill it with fire!

We all need to hope and pray the NFL comes to there senses and dumps that EA exclusive deal. I played Madden alot this season BUT it really isn't that different than the Madden's from the last five years. The caption video that was suppose to be live game action at the 360 release show was a complete and udder lie. 06 Madden was nice but for some reason they couldn't capitalize on it's graphical king status. So here we go to Live. Who in there right mind signed off on thisgarbage. This thing could have ran on the ps3! Though I was always partial to Live feeling 2k to being too slow and mechanical I really feel there will be no consumer any longer that will buy this thing again. Unless they do some of that 2k5 19.99 marketing that stormed the market back then. Right now there is nothing that has came out that makes me want to buy next gen. So what you get a little more bells and whistles when I watch this video I see no real difference that makes me want to spend 400 dollars. Then you put 720p all over the ONE it makes it really that much of a reach. I'll stck to playing graphical powerhouses Dirt 2 and 3, Uncharted 2 and 3, Bioshock Infinite and Last of Us and all of you slappies can waste your money on this crap. That's exactly what the sh*t that has came out is, re-packaged crap! The blue light of death and 720p upscaled to 1080p..NO THANKS..I'll pass until a price drop!!!

2k looks better than Live by miles (and better than pretty much any next-gen game) but it is still limited regarding the (extreme lack of) variety of player models and it somehow continues to lose "things" it had on PS2-PS3. AI sucks on both, although on Live post play actually exists and players perform better on their own. The 2k AI gameplay problems are very longstanding but yet to be addressed. Funnily it gets completely overlooked year after year by reviewers but not by proper players. Kevin Durant sucks on 2k (Jeremy Lamb is the Kevin Durant for OKC in the game).

Another year to skip on sports games.

For real , if anyone gives EA there money for live after this shame on you, you deserve to be taken the bank..SHAME ON E.A. For putting out this garbage. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if EA suddenly canceled this garbage!!

As always EA have f**ked up another game. It is the turn of a DEAD franchise to look even hopeless after having been revived. NBA LIVE 14 blows. NBA 2k14 is light years better than this piece of garbage. Not just from a graphical stand point; game play, realism, authenticity you name it NBA 2K 14 has it.
