@k41m What good is fantastic gameplay when its so choppy its unplayable? Resolution and framerate do matter.....They matter a whole lot, the fact is that PC gamers have been running at 60fps for years and years and years now, all of the sudden next gen consoles release and game devs are going "Well we can't get this game to run in 60fps on the ps4/xbox so just cap the pc version at 30fps too" Its BS.

If you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60fps good for you, the rest of the world can and would love it if they kept producing games without FPS limitations.

now a days if they release a game on PC thats locked at 30fps its going to fail, The evil within is experiencing this now.

@k41m What exactly is wrong with wanting more out of a game? They'll reveal more of the gameplay ans story when they're ready, the game's still in pre-alpha most likely. And framerate has an impact on gameplay, higher fps makes the game more smoother and responsive, what is wrong in wanting that?

@hoyholyhoy You must not be talking about the same Driveclub. The one that I have played has very little features and terrible AI. This game is not even a fraction of what most other racing games usually are.

My biggest issue is how at the Sony PS4 reveal, that guy from Evolution Studios said something about this being the racing game they always wanted to make, which I think means they have very low expectations and ambitions. And a year delay to get the online components working, but when the game comes out, there is no online because its broken.

I have already contacted Sony and am waiting to hear if I am going to get a refund for this "game."

@hoyholyhoy It is fundamentally broken and still is actually. You cannot progress properly in the game without the online component so will you please stop spouting this rubbish as if it's going to make a bad game better.

Driveclub has been universally panned and no amount of hyperbole is gonna fix that. The game is shallow, devoid of any features and displays some of the worst racing AI ever to grace a video game.

You only have to take a look at Driveclubs facebook page to see this game getting absolutely slaughtered by the consumer.

This goes down as one of the worst AAA launch titles out there, along with the likes of Battlefield 4, Diablo 3 and The Sims. Yeah, if that isn't catastrophic, I don't know what is.

Make no mistake, even though you can get a little ways with the single player component (provided that you haven't rage quit with the AI constantly shafting you as you take that perfect corner) you cannot open up other features until the online aspect is functioning correctly.

So yeah, this game IS BROKEN.

Higher frame rate is always better and there's no question about that, making it 30fps doesn't make a GAME more cinematic, it's a f**king game. There's nothing wrong with 30 and it works with some games like turn based genre, but devs shouldn't give some bullshit reasons like it'll look like something on Discovery Channel or is more cinematic

@Sam_021 I *think* it was moreso a dig on the consoles, who are always battling each other to tout support of that old standard. BUT, knowing Ubisoft, and how poorly they port games over to PC, there is definitely a finite chance that Ubi might choose to impose new restrictions (or lack of optimizations) on the PC.

Still, if I had to bet, I'd say it's a console-only remark.

@DarkLord PFFFT that's NOTHING I get 300+ FPS at 1440P when I play Counterstrike Source and CSGO.
