2DS is just Nintendo trying to recoup it's losses from the WiiU. Iwata promised profitability and even a 50 dollar WiiU price cut would jeopardize that. Now Nintendo releases the 2DS which is much cheaper to manufacture. Throw in Pokemon releasing and you have a recipe for a lot of revenue.

I personally would not buy a WiiU with it's current lineup unless it was 199.99. The technology behind it is just not worth 350 or 300.

PS4 and Xbox One provide far more value at their price points compared to the Wii U.

The 3ds should have been banned a long time ago.I played with 3d only two times and both times I got a headache.Call me crazy but I don't think playing video games is supposed to give you headaches...

So... We have NIntendo DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, and 2DS.
After all the fuss over the Wii U's name being confusing, how could Nintendo try it again?
How will a non gamer parent differentiate all of these portable consoles?

And it's such a weak concept.. Taking away something that made their portable unique.
And the design? Looks like the Wii U controller... Was that the purpose?

Black Friday is looking good for Nintendo. I foresee some crazy good sales for the consumers.

I might pick up a WiiU with that price drop or just wait for the holidays for a sale.

I think the 2DS is too ugly to be worth it. A 3DS Xl for my brother it is.
