Playing Taiko on PC is just as fun as it is on consoles

You’ll know exactly what to expect if you’ve ever played one of Namco Bandai’s Taiko games before. It’s a rhythm game where you play the drum along to songs both original and licensed, either with a controller or a peripheral (the TaTaCon drum controller for Nintendo Switch is plug and play on PC, though I had to use an external software to remap the controls to play it the way I wanted). Hit red notes for drumming and blue notes for rimshots to a soundtrack with about seventy songs in various genres, with four difficulties available for each song. Somewhat disappointingly this version doesn’t add anything new to the mix, and several the songs are locked behind a paywall of in-game currency, but these issues aside, the game is just as enjoyable on PC as it is on any other platform.
