What it sounds like is he made DC level trash that throws the tone of Fantastic 4 comics and cartoons out the window to make a deep and cinematic movie, then Marvel did their best to Frankenstein the monstrosity we got out of the leftovers.
No one wants a gritty, grounded superhero movie unless the original character is gritty; Batman's movies only got a pass because Batman didn't have superpowers and was always a bit of a jerk, even in the comics.
The Fantastic 4 is about a group of super science astronauts exposed to space radiation gaining wacky and amazing powers, who's main antagonist is an armor wearing king of a country named Victor Von Doom. who has so many robot doppelgangers that nothing permanent can happen to him since it was always a Doombot. The first recent movie was good and caught the spirit of the comics, but then they made the second movie and decided Galactus was better as a space cloud than a giant purple man with a funny helmet.
It's technically a reboot, but the only movie that was made before came out in the 80s, which most people haven't even seen, despite Dune being one of the most popular science fiction books of all time.
Having watched Venom recently, I can't believe it got a sequel.
Venom doesn't possess Eddie Brock until the second half of the movie, they made up a bunch of lore for the symbiotes in this franchise which are terrible, and the movie is too damn dark, especially since the main character is a pitch black CGI monster.
Maybe they should've released the original Japanese version of the game that wasn't censored to hell and back. I heard the Wii U version did better than the switch version there last week.
Rolling back an update is hardly newsworthy, but it's nice to know Bungie did that rather than spend time making a fix first while leaving everyone with a buggier game.
