Not only do I still have no PC emblem (I guess owning 60 PC games still doesn't qualify), but now, my "connoisseur" emblem (or whatever it was--the one with the lobster and red wine on it) is gone, for reasons mysterious. (Edit: That emblem magically reappeared after posting this message.)

I don't know why I even worry about it at all. (I do feel silly about it.) I guess I just like things working right.

I'm pretty sure I should have the "PC aficionado" emblem.

[QUOTE="sotired"]I think I have one or two missing emblems. I'm pretty sure I should have the "PC aficionado" emblem, and probably also the "old school" emblem.

You do certainly meet the PC Afficiando requirements, but not Old-School since you need to have old console games (NES, SNES,SMS), PC games are not included in that emblem.

OK, thank you.

How long has it been missing?Dracula68

I've never seen either one on my profile, ever.

The rack on the back of the car was a lifesaver too. Run down the hunters, drive straight past the strider, jump out and hit the strider from close range from behind. Mossad

Aaah! I finished EP2 a couple days ago, and your post reminded me...I'd totally forgotten about the Magnassun feeder on the back of the car. I didn't even use it once. I hate being stupid!

In my profile, I'm not subscribed to any newsletters. I've double- and triple-checked. Yet every other day, I get a GameSpot newsletter.

Each time, I use every unsubscribe link in the email to try removing myself from the newsletter. Every time, I check my profile here to see if I somehow got resubscribed--but I haven't. It says I'm not subscribed to any newsletters.

Yet they keep coming. And coming. I'm getting angry.

I have only one GameSpot profile, so that's not it.

How do I make them stop?

[QUOTE="sotired"]Well there is no such thing as any "best game"; there is only what one person or another considers his or her "favorite".anandram

Yeah, I know, "In your opinion" and "In my opinion" should be implied.sotired

Whats up with the contradiction on yourself? Your point still stands but you realise what i was pulling you on (in other words) ?? :?

I don't see it as a contradiction at all. Yes, "In my opinion..." should be implied by the reader, but it's still more correct to say "What is your favorite", rather than "What is the best". IOW, the kind of question this thread is based on always stirs up opinions (and nothing else), so the word "best" really makes little sense.

I suppose you're just messing with me, but in any case, this point has been belabored long enough, I think. ;)

(in bold) - yea well thats why this thread is calld "best game YOU have ever played smart guy.

My point still stands--the word "best" doesn't quite belong.  Yeah, I know, "In your opinion" and "In my opinion" should be implied.  But still...

And there's no reason to get personal in your reply.

can't you guys stop already ? best games and **** sheesh ... if u like them so much why dont u just play them and stfuammusk

Not everyone has been participating on these forums forever.  Rather than complaining that people shouldn't be engaging in threads like this, people who don't like it should ignore it and...well I won't repeat you but you get the idea.

Well there is no such thing as any "best game"; there is only what one person or another considers his or her "favorite". And my favorite single-player game would probably be Half-Life 2... I doubt I need to elaborate.

But in terms of pure fun, it no doubt for me has to be Serious Sam: The First Encounter. Oh, the hours upon hours I melted away playing SSFE online, in multiplayer "cooperative" mode...  SSFE is about pure fun.
