Stimulus stick-up.

Does any gamer actually think that modern warfare 2s stimulus package dlc is value for money?

Because i certainly don't, i recently saw it has appeared on the playstation store for £10.99, what a complete rip-off!

At least the World at War map packs were around £8 for 3-4 more maps, and thats all you get for around £10 of hard-earned money, a few new multiplayer maps, i can't see many, if any people getting a decent amount of playtime from these maps, unless they play modern warfares multiplayer extensively.

Also you dont even get any new spec ops maps, or trophy/achievements with it, and considering two of the maps are straight ports of the first modern warfares multiplayer maps, this really is a terrible deal, i think my money will be a lot better spent on other dlc, i mean the stimulus pack is about a third of the price of modern warfare 2 itself, at least as a pre-owned copy.

So i ask you, is it really worth it?

Driving me crazy.

I was just wondering something the other day, you see i am currently learning to drive at the moment, and was just interested to know if any gamers out there are more inclined to be speedy due to playing games like Burnout, or less inclined because of the results of a potential crash?

Me personally, i think it makes me more hesitant, not that much with my speed because i try and get as close to the speed limit whenever i can, but with pedestrians.

For instasnce whenever they're close to a zebra crossing i'm always careful to not be too presumptuous whether they are going to cross or not, because i do not want them to fly over my bonnet, like when i play GTA 4.

I don't go out of my way in GTA to run over pedestrians too often, what with the LCPD and all, but hey if i'm in a hurry its tough luck really.

Perhaps that means in some respects playing video games that feature driving can help improve a persons ability to drive, of course if you play too much like me your eyes might be a bit suspect, i'm ok from a distance but not great :/

Please guide me.

Had to use a video guide for the first time today for Resident Evil 5, and rather inevetably i had to use it when fighting the two chainsaw guys in the oil rig, oh how im glad to see the back of those two now!

I must of died around 12 times before i finished the pair of those noobs off, and as if that wasnt enough i've had to struggle through the following few chapters with hardly any ammo at all, i wish you could buy ammo at the store, and didn't have to wait until the end of a chapter to buy guns, i also want the merchant from Resi 4 to still be around, and one last thing i want to be able to access my shared inventory in-game, because i've used up all the space in Chris and Shevas inventory, and its really annoying having to shuffle back and forth so much, end rant.

Hang on that first paragraph is a lie because i have been using a b.s.a.a. emblem guide from the start, whoops. But to be fair who can be bothered to find collectibles without a guide anyway? Especially when they number in the hundreds.

Sorry if these blog posts get a bit boring in the future because i will probably be talking about Resi 5 for a few more days at least, until my copy of god of war collection arrives next week :D

Resident of Resident Evil

O-M-G! i had read that resident evil looked good in the reviews but i didnt think it would look this good!

i just thought it'd look like a polished up Resi 4, how wrong i was. the african sunsets are so beautiful, and the water looks so inviting, i wish you could just jump right in there, though seeing as its resident evil that probably wouldnt be a good idea :\

Sheva's certainly a very capable ally, she's definately handy with a rifle, and is good for reviving you when your near death, i don't know how i'll cope if there are more areas where we split up during the game, because having to rely on her shooting when i was holding a lantern wasn't too spiffy.

I have only finished the first two chapters so far, and i am just onto chapter 3-1 but it's looking very good so far, currently playing it on normal difficulty, because playing on easy on most games is a complete piss walk.

I know it's Resi and i kind of expected ammo to be in short supply, but at times it's completely unmanageable if there are more than 10 or so majini to take on at once, but hey theres always a knife :D

Play with me? No thanks, you annoy me.

Wow! This is strange for me, today i had the chance to play Bayonetta in order to help in my review of it, but instead i chose not to.

I couldn't bring myself to play Bayonetta because i had already played through it three times a while ago, for the trophys of course, and i had had my fair share of bayonettas frantic antics back then.

As alluring as Bayonetta and her lovely pixalated curves are, surely there's only so much Bayonetta one person can stomach before being over stimulated in one way or another?

Or maybe the reason i don't want to play is that i know all too well its faults because i played the ps3 version, and couldn't stand the seemingly endless load screens, couple that with the over the top action, and the constant in your face sexual poses, and innuendo, shorely there must be other guys out there who get bored of Bayonetta's displays after a while and prefer when there's a bit of titalation, but not an entire tidal wave of it like what Bayonetta gives you.

Been there, reviewed that

Just finished my review for Infamous now, so that makes 3 in total, if any one has got the time to read them feel free, you could even leave a comment to help me improve if you wish.

I've kind of noticed that its quite hard to not agree with gamespots scores most of the time, because they do get it right more often than not, of course personal tastes and preferences for particular game genres/art styles may affect me, and others (who the hell gives mad moxxi a perfect score?).

So far i have mostly finished a game then reviewed it, but maybe its easier to review, and jot down notes while your playing it for the first time, who knows, maybe ill try it out that way when my copy of resi 5 and the god of war collection eventually come.

Also it will be interesting to see if modnation racers can distinguish itself from little big planet in a meaningfull way when it gets released next month, because it has allot to live up to as its in the play, create, share cannon, heres hoping we get another great ps3 exclusive, i know we've been spoilt with them quite recently, but i dont care, keep em coming sony :D

Fused

Ok im now hooked up to fuse, i dont have an xbox gamer tag so i cant utilise that much.

My brother has a 360 but he isnt online with it i dont think, i used to use it quite a bit, more than he did actually, but my ps3 now takes complete prescedance, mainly because i own allot more great games than i did, so i hope fuse adds ps3 trophy support so i can show off my wares, so to speak.

On the plus side, i have a new gamespot achievement for joining fuse, so i now have a grand total of 3 (yay?), but i am still just a lowly tapper rank :( oh well onwards and upwards i guess.

fuse my 3

Fuse eh?

Sounds like a neat feature for gamespot/raptr users, im not sure people would value gamespot ahievements like certain rock hard xbox 360 achievements, but maybe they would.

I wish they would add ps3 support because its the only current-gen console i use with any regularity, i wonder if they would count platinums as 100%, or you would need dlc trophy/achievements to join the 100% club, because that would suck if you had to buy some of the rubbish dlc to get in the club.

It will be interesting to see what the rarest achievements are, there could well be some interesting curve balls in there as well, so hurry up gamespot and add ps3 support, and i will get a raptr account, and sign up for fuse, and show of my plats, which are mostly easy, but some are relatively difficult, i like to think they are anyway.

Resi 5

Just found out that i have my copy of Resident Evil 5 coming soon, via postage and i cannot wait, after suffering through the dlc for borderlands, Mad Moxxis underdome riot i want to get back to a satisfying gaming experience.

I hope Sheva is not as annoying as Ashley in resident evil 4, but since Sheva has a gun im sure she wont be, but on the down side i dont think i can put Sheva on a high structure, just next to a ladder, and be a perverted sniper, and look up her skirt, like with Ashley, not that i have or anything, i just heard that you could if you wanted to.

I played allot of resident evil 4 but for some reason i never got round to finishing it, i will inevetably finish resi 5, for the trophys mainly, because im a kind of completionist about them, unless they have online trophys that are annoying that is, other games not resi 5, i know it doesnt have online (unless you count the dlc) so i should be fine, i hope its as good as resi 4.

to buy, or not to buy, that is the question

Ok incase some of you didnt know GTA:Liberty City Stories is getting released on ps3 and pc, either today or tommorow, which is awesome, as i dont think many ps3, or pc owners expected to get it.

But heres my problem, the two retail for around 30 english pounds for both, which is great, and i know from reviews that it is good value, but i have seen games such as Dragon Age:Origins and Fifa 10 around the same price, making all three very viable purchases.

I know GTA:LCS would probably last me a good while, but the thing is, i think its undeniable that you could get more play time from the other 2, certainly from Dragon age, and i love GTA 4s world dont get me wrong, but the fact that you only get 15 bronzes for your efforts is a bit rubbish in my opinion, Rockstar could have at least added some silvers, because i look at gtas trophy list, and compared to my other games (apart from Bioshock), the 5 silvers pale in comparison to my other games total.

Also i have pre-ordered a copy of the God Of War Collection, which i should get sometime at the end of the month, this is good but while im waiting, i havent got many games to be getting on with, i was playing PES 2010 master league extensively, but theres a crack coming from the centre of the disk, which means, it is luck of the draw whether the disk plays or not (8/10 times it doesnt though), this makes me want either GTA:LCS, or Dragon Age, or Fifa 10 even more, but the thing is the only one i could probably finish before my God Of War Collection arrives is gta:lcs, ARGH, help!
