@Kezzy123: except Diablo IV is catered to casual players, and no one here is casual. We’re all the exception. Having kids and full time job doesn’t auto make someone casual.
The average player doesn’t make comments about a video game on Gamespot.
@Darkling183: final fantasy XIV devs also say it’s ok to take a break once you feel fulfilled and combat for a new update, that’s just normal behavior. I see nothing wrong with addressing it.
Diablo IV is exactly what I expected it to be. Complete campaign, and grind to lvl 100 to deck out your character, play hardcore if you like, otherwise, boom beat the game; next.
@illegal_peanut: which is exactly why Activision Blizzard needs a change up. I want Microsoft to buy them up because by itself Activision blizzard is a highschool. Microsoft has a history of not dealing with those types of people, they just get rid of them. Blizzard needs this fire lit on their ass.
@sgtkeebler: so then, as a business, which is in the business to make money, why wouldn’t they make it pay to buy, and sell in game shop? They will do this until people vote with their wallets. I wish people did, but video game protests always fail. If the player base dropped 50% tomorrow and said we don’t want skins costing $25 they’d change it immediately. But much like the Reddit protest, gamers on average don’t have much self restraint. You and I might, but not the other million.
@sgtkeebler: but the game is gonna be seasonal, live service, so money needs to come in regularly. $70 for a game that does t update and comes out finished, sure. But live service must bleed money from somewhere.
@dmblum1799: exactly. I dont care if they charge $100 for a mount or even a helmet. It doesn’t effect gameplay, and no one’s making you buy it, as long as we don’t have lootbox gambling in games accessible by children, everything else is fine.
@majikayo666: Glad you've enlightened us how a proper business tactic isn't run. Please tell us about your successful and professional background since you have such vast knowledge in this affair.
@Ultima_Dragoon: oblivion also wasn’t a live service game. The game had all the content you’re gonna get day1 . Gaming business models change over time, and so have gamers. Especially since it’s mainstream now. That’s good and bad imo
