The Finn character was little more than token comic relief from the beginning. He was a non-CGI Jar Jar. Boyega needs to get over himself and stop pretending like he never read the scripts beforehand.
Yeah no. Finn's story was set up to be one of the most interesting we've seen in all the movies. It's the first time we characterized a storm trooper outside of being a mindless soldier with horrible marksmanship. He was humanized. He was an empire defector struggling with coming to grips with who he really is. He was even hinted at being force sensitive in the posters and trailers. There's a BILLION directions the writers could have gone with that set up but instead Round Head Rian and JJ relegated Finn to bumbling comic relief janitor that screams REYYYY in every other scene. What a waste. Boyega has every right to be upset with how his character turned out.
These Witcher comparisons are confusing to me. The only thing this seems to have in common with The Witcher is the Medieval fantasy setting. Other than that I see nothing in common with The Witcher. If anything it looks like Final Devil May Cry Fantasy. It's sad that Final Fantasy is straying further and further from its roots and is now just a run of the mil series that puts out action RPG's. FFXV was trash, FFVII Remake was hot trash and this looks to be more of the same. Trash.
