@Yortmen apparently Ubisoft has said it'll take really well timed button presses to actually move that fluidly through combat. the way they phrased it was something like "you can play with your little brother and you'd both be able to kill everyone in a group, but you'll take no hits and make it look easy, while he'll have to take more time, and probably lose a lot of health"
hoping this all means it's less mashing and more deft timing.
@Ducez_III Fair enough. And agreed, it's because her role is, for better or worse, atypical in our world, and Square merely wants to highlight that she's breaking the norm for video game characters.
@Hellsasin From what I've heard Watch Dogs is running on some engine developed specifically for it with next-gen in mind. AC3 is using Anvil Next which is just an upgraded version of their current Anvil engine. But it's possible future AC games might use Watch Dog's engine, whatever it is.
@BarkingSpider81 I currently hate console game MAKERS for releasing ports like Max Payne 3 later on PC than on consoles, but no, I don't hate console gamers for that. Most of that conflict is just focused on PC gamers being frustrated that studios aren't developing for the specs-wise superior PC platform and instead just shittily porting over games. If there's one thing Crytek does right, it's code for a spectacular-looking PC game. Meanwhile console gamers are probably pissed at the PC gamers who are dicks about all this. Also cost probably factors in somewhere.
