Welcome!

Step 1: Subscribe to PlayStation Plus. Get games every month (free-ish, as part of the service). Get additional sales discounts. Get cloud storage for your game saves. (PS+ is required for online play on PS4, excluding most F2P games, and games with their own subs, such as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn).

Step 2: Get a Vita. Amazing handheld system. Remote Play with PS4 is incredible too.

Step 3: Bookmark the Official PlayStation blog for your region.

North America: Europe, UK, Australia, and more: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/

http://blog.us.playstation.com/

Store updates are posted weekly. PS Plus Instant Game Collection Updates are posted monthly. Previews for upcoming games and other stuff is posted almost daily.

Step 4: Also this: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/

Using the web store, you can make purchases and queue up downloads to your console, without having to be at your console, or without having to break from your game. There is also a mobile app you can find for this.

Don't forget Step 5: Troll all Xbox fanboy comments in Gamespot ;)

Injustice: Gods Among Us has a pretty solid online community but if that's not for you try the Soul Calibur or Tekken games.

  • Pro Evolution Soccer series, i think the series get's crapped on for not being FIFA.
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Star Wars The Old Republic
  • Heroes Might and Magic
  • Need for Speed Underground 1 & 2
  • Dragonball Z: Budokai 3
  • Final Fantasy 13-2
  • Transformers Fall of Cybetron

Ride I think some of the games on that list actually got a lot of public attention and marketing to boot? DA 2 was tried out by most fans of the original usually to their disappointment but was still a solid game. NGS Underground 1 & 2 , HoM&M series, DBZ Budokai and even SWTOR got solid reviews and have quite a large fan-base... I can't speak for the other games since I never tried them out but the ones I did play were quite popular when they were released and were played by most of my friends.

Some gave them solid reviews, not everyone. Just because they have marketing, doesn't mean they don't get appreciated enough. Many people hate the games i listed

Who dares to hate on NFS:UG and HoMM!! =@ And sadly marketing = exposure meaning even if the game is absolute crap if enough money's thrown behind the marketing people will pick it up. And really under-rated or over-rated what matters at the end if how many people buy the game since that influences the possibility of sequels, which is what I as a person who appreciated these games would want =] Ubisoft need to stop Ass creed games and make a new HoMM.....

Thanks for sharing! Looks like it's shaping up better than I expected... If I don't hear about a Wildstar release soon I'll be jumping ship to ESO.

Enjoy it, it looks really good. It's been shared by IGN. I can't embed it sadly, so you have to follow the link. I actually like the look of the QTE's tbh. Also the shooting mechanics look solid with a good cover system and some amazng cinematics

The game only gives an overall first impression on what the game is and what is in it.

Video

While the game certainly looks the part for a next gen game I'm a bit worried that this particular video had more QTE and cinematics in it than free form gameplay. Only time will tell I guess.

I get what yall are saying, I should have been more clear because I did mention console wars and flame wars. When I wrote the original post I really had people who just feel the need to be a dick for no reason in my head because I ran into somebody just like that on Red orchestra.

I think part of the reason gamers especially in an online capacity tend be so abusive and elitist in their behaviour (politically correct way of saying dickhead =p) is because there isn't any accountability. 90% of dickheads in a game wouldn't behave that way in person or with people in their everyday lives because they would be held accountable for doing so. But in a gaming environment you're allowed to abuse, scream, disagree and shout all you want without the person receiving it or the group of people receiving it will never know who you are or be able to hold you accountable for what you say and do. It creates a complete disconnect from action and consequence allowing people to do whatever they want with any real consequences.

It takes restraint, maturity and certain degree of self-respect to still temper your actions in an environment where there aren't any real consequences or responsibilities which is why gamers tend to be such dickheads online =p Funny thing is face to face I'm sure most of these people are just ordinary who wouldn't be starting fights on the street or any of their real life environments.
