I'm beginning to wonder if this was worth it...
Rouge walked me down a dark corridor. In this lighting, her clothes, I noticed, were extremely distastful. She always seemed like she needed to dress this way to impress the boys. They call it 'sexy.' I call it trash. I shook my head. It was disgusting. To parade around in a skimpy outfit just for kicks... just plain disgusts me. Because I was thinking about this, I didn't notice she'd led me into a room.
"This'll be your room, Pinky." Rouge said, turning on the lights. Ugh, not Pinky again. Rouge had as much taste for her nicknames as her clothes.
"It's Amy." I said with emphasis on my name.
"Whatever you want to call yourself, Pinky."
I growled, but let it slide. I wasn't here to make friends, anyway. I took a good look around the room. It wasn't very...colorful. The dark gray walls must've been covered in inches of dust...how unappealing. I noticed a spider web up in the corner. I screamed.
"Kill it!" I shouted. "Kill it! Kill it! KILL IT!" In defense, I raised my hammer andbeat on the web, even though the spider must've left behind this nest years ago. But if you know me, I'm deathly afraid of spiders, and I have to destroy the web to be fully content.
Rouge rolled her eyes. "Oh, please..."
After I wiped the spider's web out of excistance, I sat on my bed and sighed. I felt Rouge's eyes staring at the back of my head.
I turned around. "What?"
She shook her head. "This just won't do." She said.
I stood up. "What're you talking about? What won't do?"
She walked over to me, the smell of the perfume, TOO STRONG, I decided, filling into my nose. She placed her hand on my red tank top. "You're too colorful. All that red and white...you need a makeover."
I looked at my outfit. "What, this?" I became insecure. "Is it...too much?" Rouge nodded. "Yeah...but I think I have the perfect outfit idea for you. Come with me." She took my hand and pulled me out of the door.

Rouge stood behind a curtain looking through a drawer for clothes.
"Rouge, I don't think this is a good idea... red and white are my signature colors! Anything else doesn't really suit me..."
"Oh, stop your whining, brat. Just behappy I'm helping you instead of letting you look like a rainbow threw up."
I growled. "At least I don't parade myself around like a slut..." I murmered under my breath.
She threw clothes at me. "Go put these on."
I sighed and walked towards the bathroom. "Whatever..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I looked at myself in the mirror after changing.
My red hairband had been replaced bya gray and black one, which I'd admit, looked pretty cute. I now wore a black and gray striped tank top, and a black skirt. I wore black shoes with a white stripe in the middle, and the golden rings on my wrists were now a shiny silver.
"I feel gothic." I said to Rouge.
"Well, don't. You look much better. And here, I souped up your hammer." She tossed it to me. It was now black and gray, and had two large spikes on each end. "You'll getthe job done easier this way." She said.
I stared at myself in awe. This look, actually wasn't thatbad. Black is very sexy. I... was pleased with my new look.
"Um... nice job, Rouge. I... really like it." I said.
Rouge smiled half-heartedly. "Yeah, well, if had to see anymore red I would've lost my mind."
I knew that was the closest thing to a 'your welcome' that I was going to get.
Suddenly Shadow ran in.
"Girls. Good news. I think I know where to begin our search for Chaos Emerald number one."
"That's great!" I said. "Where is it?"
Shadow pointed out the window. "Take a look down. I think this one will be easy."
I peered out of the window. I saw a small island. "Do you mean there? That island is so small... if it's there, wer'e sure to find it."
Shadow nodded. "My point exactly. We will land tonight, and begin our search in the morning. We shouldn't need to stay long, but there could be tribes of islanders. I will gather information of the island while you ladies sleep. Get a good rest. I'll wake you up in the morning." He walked out.
Rouge looked at me. "You heard the man, Pinky. Get to bed."
Ugh, same old demeanor, I thought. I nodded and walked towards my room.
I went inside and layed on the hard bed. It wasn't comfortable, but it would have to do.
"This room is so ugly..." I whispered. "Maybe I'll fix it up when there's time..."
I thought about Tails and Knuckles. I wondered if they knew I had left.
I thought about Cream. Wherever she was, she must've been terrified.
And I thought about Sonic. I quietly hoped that he wasn't worried.
I sighed and wondered if I'd made the right choice.
But it was too late to go back now, anyway.
I closed my eyes, and drifted into dreamland, where I dreamt of my true-blue hero, running in an endless field.
