What I've Been Up To. . .Plus, A New Love
by petervenkman on Comments
Greetings, fellow gaming enthusiasts and. . .other enthusiasts. . .
I come to you in this digital realm known as the internet to inform you of my recent activities and of my endeavors yet to come. I'm not much of a blogger but I'll attempt to keep this blog as brief and scrumptous as possible. Here we go. . .you ready? Then let's begin. . .
My senior year at Willard High School encroaches on my doorstep and into the very core of my cerebellum, digging ferociously; letting me know it is nearly upon me. It starts next week on Tuesday. Ahhh! Although the past three months have been ever so boring.
Upon my arrival at said school I should bring with me cliff notes and. . .other notes about my summer readings of The Hunchback of Notre Dame & Les Miserables(two spectacularly awesome books, mind you) by acclaimed author Victor Hugo. It was an astonishing bulk of reading to do considering Les Miserables is 1200 pages long and very small font while Hunchback was roughly 280 pages. English IV Honors, here I come.
Other areas of study I am taking are Physics, Creative Writing, Advanced Biology, Mythology I & II, Meteorology, College Algebra, etc. Yep, easy classes indeed.
I am nearly finished with my horror novel and a couple other short stories. I write prose for those of you who don't know me too well. Although, who should. . . ..creeps.;) Most of my short stories are inspired by my nightmares. Some of them are very disturbing. I don't even want to tell you about the one I had last night.
Ah, yes. My new love. She caresses me with her angelic and divine voice every day. Her name is. . .Enya. She is an Irish vocalist with a beautiful voice. She is a very beautiful woman.
I'm sure a handful of you have heard of her. Song listings include. . .Only Time, It's In The Rain, Orinoco Flow, May It Be, Book of Days. Here are a couple of links to my two favorites of hers. Music Videos.

She is beautiful, no? Hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.

Did anyone else get furious with...
by petervenkman on Comments
LOST?!?
Oh dear God. The season finale of season five really got on my nerves. I know it has been quite some time since the episode and I have been slacking on blog entries, but OH MY GOD! I saw it weeks ago on the premiere. If you don't watch LOST, you should. And if you did see the final episode of season five, give me your thoughts. How did you react to such an atrocity? I won't explain what happened if you haven't seen it.
I am furious in a good way though. J.J. Abrams loves to piss us off with the biggest cliffhangers imaginable.
AHHHH!!!!
Well.....It's Good To Be Back
by petervenkman on Comments
This willl be a short and formal blog. I promise it will be brief:
After my long leave of abscence I have decided to return to my home away from home here on Gamespot. I haven't been online and interacting with anyone since September of last year.
My shout-outs to Princess_Jill, dubel_07, Nicholai69, Azure-Supernova, and of course, RE-fanatic.
I will be on more often now; that's for sure. I will try to contact old friends and new friends as much as possible and reconcile with one another. I will try and re-establish relationships. It's good to be back, indeed.
I will keep in touch.
Thank You.
School, Video Games, And Other Things

Well, I'm back at school. I started about two weeks ago. I am a Junior now, so I feel somewhat superior to my inferiors. I am taking the general classes like English III, Algebra II, and Chemistry. My electives are Astronomy, Personal Finance(Ugh, I despise the teacher), and Anatomy and Physiology. A&P is my favorite class; the teacher is quite humorous. It is a challenging class, but I enjoy it. By the end of the week, my group and I will have to do a presentation on the Epithelial tissue. I elected to study and present the simple squamous epithelial tissue, which can be found lining the heart, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and the air sacs of the lungs. It's gonna be fun.........not.
I don't buy games often, so I mainly rent them. When I do buy a game, I weigh the outcomes on whether I should get it or not. Is it gonna be great, will it last, is it any good; just some things I think about. The next game I plan on buying is FarCry 2.
For those of you who are wondering about my novellas; I am still working on them. They are not short like some of the ones I have seen on the World of Horror Union. They are going to be long. It will take me time, but I am shooting to get both of them done by January. If not by then, I must be a slacker.
I hope your Labor Day weekend was fun. Mine wasn't because of the next school day. Have a great September.
Cheers
petervenkman, Writer Extraodinaire?
by petervenkman on Comments
I am a writer. A writer of horror stories. So far, I have written two short stories and one novella of horror.
Right now I am working on two stories, both will be between 50-100 pages. Maybe longer. All of my teachers say I am a great writer. My inspiration for my writing is from Stephen King. He is my all-time favorite writer.
The two stories I spoke of are, of course, horror. One, The Coming of the Darkness, is an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic story. It centers around the main character who after being visited by the local priest who tells the end is coming, will have to endure what will happen to humanity and its fight for survival against the horde. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with the storyline of Gears of War. The horde will be a number of things: vampires, werewolves, demons, the undead, etc. The creatures will not be the typical versions that you have seen in movies.
The other, The Uprising, is a tale of a couple who lost their son due to a zombie outbreak. This story is a post-apocalyptic zombie story where the world is overtaken by the undead. It will consist of flashbacks of the couple before the outbreak, how it came into being, and who is behind it. It's not Umbrella, by the way.
Anyway, that is what I am doing now. I will post updating information of my progress in writing these novellas.
A Change Of Things!
by petervenkman on Comments
I have changed my gamertag. I was yEvil Residenty for awhile, but after people kept pronouncing it wrong, I wanted to change it. It also looked weird with the "y" at the ends. People would say Yevil Residenty.
It is now ObscureNephilim.
Finally, I'm Home!
by petervenkman on Comments
I am back home today after the grueling ten days out in vacation. Overall, I had a pretty crappy time. The only fun parts were at Lake Tahoe, Hoover Dam, Reno, and Vegas. Vegas was pretty boring though. The cousins and other relatives were nice to meet, but some of them were "butt"holes.
Anyway, it was an OK vacation. I'm just glad I'm back home.
I'm In California!
by petervenkman on Comments
I am now in this city called Truckee. Corny name I think, but the houses here are fantastic and huge. My uncle's girlfriend's sister is an actress and she has this big vacation home here. It is a big house. I'd say around 7,000 square feet. I am in the kitchen right now typing this blog. We are going to Lake Tahoe tomorrow, I guess.
There is supposed to be more people coming.....people I don't know; that I've never seen before in my life. My Uncle Bruce is playing a guitar right now and he is VERY good. He is favorite uncle because he is so funny.
Anyway, I'm having fun here in this big house in the woods. I'll give update again in a couple of days.
