I did it in word first
by orangemann327 on Comments
It's definitely been a while. With this blog, I plan to wrap up the Ryan trip and also give you a music countdown. This week, I plan to jump into Room Wars with hopefully four episodes and also check every blog that comes up in the recent blog box. Here goes nothing:
It was still Wednesday and Ryan and I decided to do one of our usual Madden tournaments, this time with 8 teams. The bracket was:
New England (My first pick)
Indianapolis (Ryan's fourth pick)
Dallas (My third pick)
Jacksonville (Ryan's first pick)
Seattle (My second pick)
New York Giants (Ryan's second pick)
Minnesota (My fourth pick)
San Diego (Ryan's third pick)
We played the whole first round that Wednesday with all my teams winning: NE 51- Ind 35, Dal 56 - Jac 21, Sea 48 - NYG 15, and Min 27 -SD 24. We don't play defense very well so our games our usually very high scoring.
Thursday, my mom had a hair appointment at the Pittsburgh Mills so my stepdad, little sister, Ryan, Eric, and I went also but we went out to dinner. We went to Denny's and I got the ranch chicken sandwich thing. It was really good. Only Ryan and I joined "the Clean Plate Club". We then went back to the Mills to pick up my mom, but she wasn't done yet. My stepdad and mom (after she was done) then took my little sister back to school shopping so Ryan, Eric, and I strolled the mall. I got the the Amazing Race DVD game (which we played and it can be somewhat addictive). We then met up with my parents and sister and went to Dairy Queen (as I stated in one of Ivy's blogs as a comment ;)) I got a grape slushy thing. It wasn't anything too great. Ryan, Marissa, and I tried to get Eric to ride one of those little quarter ride things for little kids b/c he can still fit in them. It was an effing ROCKET SHIP!!!! I wanted to ride it but I couldn't. We tried everything, bribing, threats, and everything else we could think of. Side story: Ryan and I at a different mall last Xmas rode on a quarter ride Dino thing (from the flintstones). People were looking at us b/c we were two teenage boys ride this crappy little thing. We told Eric that story and he still wouldn't, we were disappointed in him.
We then went home and played the TAR DVD game. In effort to make it a little more fun, we assigned TAR teams to our teams (me/Ryan vs Eric/Marissa) In the first game Ryan and I were Kynt and Vyksin and Eric and Marissa were Azaria and Hendekea. We were both in the final destination city and they barely beat us. After that, Ryan and I did round 2 of our football tourney. I had to give him the two teams I didn't want so he could play also. I gave him Dallas and Minnesota. The results were NE 63 -Dal 45 and Sea 84 - Min 21. This set up the Super Bowl between New England and Seattle. I gave him New England. We decided to do our Super Bowl with fifteen minute quarters. For the first round, we did 4 minute quarters and for the second we did 9 minute quarters.
On Friday, we did three more TAR DVD games. My dog though stepped on the one flag piece marker thing so whoever was the red team was automatically Charla and Mirna since the flag was a little smaller than the others. Eric and Marissa were them twice. For the first game it was Eric and Jeremy (me and Ryan) vs Charla and Mirna. It's so much more fun to pretend you are them b/c you get to be in character. Ryan and I got really far ahead so Eric and Marissa said that Charla's Heelys broke. Ryan and I won all three games as Eric and Jeremy, Tyler and James, and the last as Nate and Jenn. Eric and Jeremy and Tyler and James beat Charla and Mirna while Nate and Jenn beat Freddy and Kendra. The only gripe I had with the game is that some of the tasks and questions repeat, but overall it was really fun IMO.
Friday night at like 11 Ryan and I started the Super Bowl with 15 minute quarters. It was awesome. We were scoring on each other like crazy. As Seattle, my linebackers were awesome b/c they are really fast. Midway through the second though, Matt Hasselbeck was injured so I had to have Seneca Wallace come in. Seneca came through though. He finished with 8 TDs and no interceptions. The game ended a little prematurely though b/c my PS2 froze with around 3:21 left in the 4th. I was winning 231-177 so we declared me the winner. I even had the ball so I was sort of angry. I wanted 250 at least. They left the next day but it was fun. My aunt came and picked them up, but she even said that she hopes Marissa and I can go to their house during Xmas break, so I'm crossing fingers.
Now for the music countdown: I have begun downloading songs off of Amazon, but not really new ones but I do have a base for the countdown, let's go:
Youtube has like decided to hate me, so only the first two have links. I'll try to edit it later with links.
10. "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolf feat Lil Wayne ) - I like this song.
9. "After Tonight" by Justin Nozuka - Still hanging on, but barely.
8. "Handlebars" by the Flobots - The end of this song still pumps me up, it's sweet.
7. "The World Should Revolve Around Me" by Little Jackie - They have talent.
6. "Angels on the Moon" by Thriving Ivory - This song has the Colby O' Donis effect. I like it one time then hate it the next.
5. "Criminal" by Justin Nozuka - I may be mistaken, but Nozuka is the first artist to have two songs on my countdown since the original when two Paramore songs were on.
4. "Sugarbaby" by Morningwood - This video is hilarious and the song is pretty good.
3. "Devour" by Shinedown - This song is awesome.
2. "Not an Angel" by City Sleeps - They return with their second song on my countdown. This one isn't as intense as "Prototype" but it's started to wear on me, watch out for it.
1. "The Resolution" by Jack's Mannequin - I first heard this song on the night that we went to the mall with Ryan and Eric (see above) and I loved it. It's my most played song I downloaded.
B'bye now!
WOW, Intense, long, and stuff
by orangemann327 on Comments
It's been a while since I last blogged. I've been sorta busy though.
Today's college football was intense. OSU almost lost to Ohio, I was screaming during that one. Depsite the fact that I only saw the last minute of the BYU/Washington game, I was screaming during that one too. UW got screwed, majorly. The last game was ECU/WVU. Who knew ECU would be so good? I hope they continue to do well, it would make a good story.
Room Wars season 3 is in production, this season isn't quite wars, but there's some shiftiness especially after tonight. Nothing too major, but doesn't it suck when you think you know someone only for them to completely surprise you? Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.
Now for the long part, which I'm not sure will fit and it's a double feature, a summer update (should be the last one) and an episode of Adventure.Bob.Ryan.
Obviously, this means Ryan and I got together over the summer. I didn't go to his house, he and my other cousin Eric came to mine. See, me and Ryan had probably 5 or 6 long conversations (3-5 hours) over the phone trying to come up with a plan to get him to my house or me to his house. We contemplated many different things, but there was always a hole until we came up with our best scheme to date, the vague plan. What we did was ask our parents questions we knew we'd get an answer we wanted. For example, I told my mom that Ryan and Eric were thinking of coming down and asked her how she felt and she said okay, they can do what they want. She thought that they were coming with my aunt and uncle, which I "forgot" to mention. We did this over the course of 3 weeks when we had to confirm them coming to my house. This was messy, b/c my aunt and mom had to talk to one another, but luckily it worked out b/c both sides saw how excited us "children" were and couldn't refuse. So, they were coming.
For the car ride from our meeting place (where we pick them up) to my house, Ryan and I decided to have a little competition. We made a list of 56 things you normally see on the road and divided it up to see who could get more. To make it more interesting, we got to pick two reasonable items that the other person had to find.
My list was: Red Car, Black car, Silver car, white car, yellow car, a house, a horse, a cow, a lawn mower, a swimming pool, a trampoline, a gas station, a soda/pop machine, a u-haul truck, a UPS/Fedex truck, a vehicle containing more than 5 people, a fence, McDonalds Arches, a speed limit sign, a mailbox, a Volkswagen Beetle, a pickup truck, an adopt-a-highway sign, person wearing a hat, and some others I don't remember. Also added to my list by Ryan was a deer and an Arizona license plate.
His list was: Blue Car, a bridge, a fountain, a bird bath, an ambulance, a police Car, a ladder, a satellite dish, a doghouse, railroad tracks, a traffic cone/barrel, a cloud, a construction worker, a sign or billboard containing a phone number, a motorcycle, a dollar store, a boat, a traffic light, a convertible, a dump truck, and some others I don't remember. Also added to his list by me was a detached hubcap and an ice cream truck.
It got intense when we both had few things left. I had vehicle containing more than 5 people, deer, and Arizona license plate. He had fountain, ambulance, railroad tracks, ice cream truck, and bridge. I knew he would get bridge and railroad tracks so i had to get one more to win. We got off our exit and I turned around and there was a van full of a fat family chowing down. I turned around and started screaming THERE THERE. Luckily our van has the tinted windows. :D. I thought I had won until he somehow in the last two blocks spotted an ice cream truck (even though I still dispute his bird bath and doghouse spottings) but it ended in a tie so I was okay with it. Later that day though, on a walk me and him had the one of the weirdest moments of my life. I was looking down when something on a car caught my eye. Immediately, I scream, "NO F-ING WAY!!!". There was an Arizona license plate in my town, no joke. We cracked up so hard.
We went to the zoo with him and Eric and it was unexciting. I don't know why, but we flew through it.
I'll finish this one later, I'm tired, sorry.
The Long Awaited....
by orangemann327 on Comments
Finale of Room Wars Season 2!!! I know I said I would do a summer update, but I saw it today. (Yes it meaning the Prince) I walked past him and didn't look back.
Anywho, I will now flashback to the last day of spring semester...
(flashback music plays and the screen gets all wavy)
Move-out Day!!! After getting back from my final, I open the room to see the Prince pretty much packed up. I start packing. I'm super excited to see my dog and kitty. An hour or two later, he gets the RA b/c he would be leaving soon and he wants the RA to check his half of the room for damages and such. The RA does and the Prince is pretty much ready to leave. As he was getting the last of his stuff, I said goodbye, walked up to him, and shook is hand. He didn't say a word or look me in the eye, I loved it!!! It was just the reaction I had expected. After he left, I laughed for about 5 minutes, but then the kicker came. Stinky came in looking for him (I also saw and smelled  stinky the other day).
Not too long, but a nice way to end S2. Quick Update: I was charged $18 for room damages b/c the fridge needed cleaning after the Prince spilled milk and didn't clean it up, so I was p****d about that. Now (well later) we can start S3 and you get to meet the new roomies (well sort of, I still need to think of nicknames).
Summer Update: Movies/TV/Music and a fun game
by orangemann327 on Comments
I don't know why I put movies, I haven't seen any new ones.
As for TV, here are my thoughts on some of the shows I've been addicted to this summer:
Big Brother 10 - Although not so much, with tonights eviction, I have liked this season. I probably will just tune in only to see how it all ends. Most of the good people IMO (or entertaining people) have been evicted and I swear if Renny, Jerry, or Dan wins, I will be hella pi$$ed. I think Renny and Jerry are annoying and I don't want Dan to win b/c he had a terrible strategy in the first half (I hate it when people are "intentionally weak" in order to make it further). He's an okay guy, I just don't like his strategy.
America's Best Dance Crew 2 - This year was a pretty good year I thought. My two favorite crews lasted pretty much as far as my favorite two crews from last season (Break Sk8 and Fysh N' Chicks). This season my two favorites were Supreme Soul and Fanny Pak. Supreme Soul were great, the perfect combo. Fanny Pak was just amazing. They were the underdog crew and I really wanted them to win. I loved their "Toy Soldier", "Touch My Body", and "Get Ur Freak On" performances. The only time they screwed up was the create your own beat challenge so I didn't understand why they weren't in the finals. They were more consistent than the two finalists and just plain better than So Real Cru.
The Baby Borrowers - This show was weird. I thought it was funny, honestly. I know there could be some psychological damage, but it was entertaining. I liked Kelly and Austin the best and I though Morgan and Daton didn't deserve to have kids.
Fear Itself - These were awesome, well some of them. I loved the "Family Man" one and the one where the guy got lost in the woods. The "Community" one and the one with Eric Roberts were the two I hated. The other three were in between. I can't wait for the show to start up again.
Degrassi: The Next Generation - I saw this show for the first time b/c it was being shown on a local channel at my house and I must say what the f*^#??!!! This show is so all over the place, it is terrible.
Gossip Girl - Yes Ivy, I saw an episode re-running on the CW. It wasn't bad, but I was very confused.
I think that's it, if there's something else I'll do something about it later.
Music - I have been keeping track of songs I liked during the summer so I can include them on my end of the year countdown. Problem is, is that I haven't ranked them so I've decided to do the end of the year one based on how I feel and not by numbers. Here is this week's (btw youtube still sucks for me, so this took me like 30 minutes):
10 "Bust It Baby" by Plies feat. Ne Yo - I really love the parts by Ne-Yo, it shows his voice.
9. "Handlebars" by Flobots - This song really annoyed me at first, but I've sort of warmed up to it.
8. "Fall For You" by Secondhand Serenade - I heard this on my Yahoo station (when I had it) and I loved it then, still do now.
7. "After Tonight" by Justin Nozuka - One of two songs to survive the summer, it has received a boost by consistent showings on the VH1 Top 20 video countdown. Plus, I love it.
6. "Dangerous" by Kardinal Offishall feat. Akon - I loved this song so much, I listened to it every time I heard it. It's sort of died down.
5. "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay - The second song to survive the summer. This song is a serious contender for #1 just like the other summer survivor.
4. "Chasing Pavements" by Adele - I love her voice with this song. VH1 is doing something right with their You Oughta Know! artists (Justin Nozuka, Adele, two others coming, Sara Bareilles) b/c I like them.
3. "The World Should Revolve Around Me" by Little Jackie - These two are crazy together. Another YOK artist here, this is also the theme song for New York's (flavor of love) new show. The second verse is the best part IMO.
2. "Angels On the Moon" by Thriving Ivory - Originally, I didn't like this song, I thought they were annoying, but this YOK artist won me over.
1. "Devour" by Shinedown - This song is awesome!!!! It's on the Madden 09 soundtrack too, so I loved that. (you'll find out why I played Madden 09 in the next blog)
Next blog: Summer Update: The best part of my summer!!!
And there's a fun game at the fun n games forum. I'm playing (you might even get to be my partner) so everyone (well 15 b/c that's the amount of slots left) should join. It's an ORG (online Reality Game) . Here's the link:

General Life Update 2: Trip to Kennywood
by orangemann327 on Comments
First, I got my old job back!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D I can come on tv.com while I work again!!!!!
Anywho, time for my summer trip to Kennywood. The people involved are me, my stepdad (msd), my mom (mom), and my little sister (ls). In order to go, ls and I had to promise to go on rides (i.e. go on rides my parents like b/c I actually ride more rides than them) We packed a lunch (Subway and pop and stuff). We drove the whole way there (about 35 minutes I think). We got there and set our cooler at the pavillion near the Aero 360.
Our first ride was the Jackrabbit. I really like this ride, the dip is fun. Me and ls were third in line so we didn't think we'd get the front or the back (the two best places to sit on a roller coaster) but as luck would have it, the two pairs in front of us took the first to so me and ls sat in my personal favorite place to sit, the very back. It was a fun ride. Next, we did the Racers and again me and ls go the very back. We lost the race but still the back was awesome. Then we did the Log Jammer and put the heaviest at the front and ls at the back. I kept trying to tip the boat. As we came up to the top of the final hill, I jammed into my mom's back forcing her closer to msd and we made a huge splash. Everyone was surprised b/c no one could come close. Ls was soaked, it was funny. We rode the Thunderbolt next, which I'm not too crazy about. Guess where mom and I sat, THE BACK!!!! It was awesome. Then, we ate lunch.
After lunch, we decided to hit the water rides starting with the Log Jammer. We did the opposite combination, so we got very little splash. On the Raging Rapids, we got two other people put into our car and I got the least wet. I was happy b/c I didn't get the waterfalls or shot with the water cannons. Last was the Pittsburgh Plunge. We filled up the front seat. After that, we did my all-time favorite ride ever at Kennywood, the Exterminator. We had to convince ls to come, b/c she hates the dark. She got off in the middle of Noah's Ark one time. Standing in line sucked, b/c I was dripping. We finally got on the ride and ls started flipping the f**k out. I had my hands up the whole time (even though it says you're not supposed to) and ls was like whimpering the whole time. It was the only time we rode it b/c of that. While the other three did the swings, I did my other favorite ride, the Swingshot. It's like a pendulum sort of. If you get on at the right time, you can see the sun go over the hill, that happened once for me. I can't remember the order the rest happened but here are the highlights:
- Rode the Phantom's Revenge 4 times I think and right before we got on the one time, there was a problem so I was a little apprehensive to get on, but it was fine.
- Msd, ls, and I rode the Kangaroo and I punished them by intentionally flying into them or as we say "Cousin Oliver"-ing them which is when you hit someone while on a ride with them.
- Mom, msd, and I rode the new "Dark Ride" Ghostwood Estate. It's LAME. Do not ride it if you go, it is mega LAME!!!!
- Kennywood now plays music videos on big screens while you wait in line, it's really nice except most of the videos are sucky. I heard three different versions of Sara Bareilles's Love Song: the original her one, one sung by a ride operator (which was pretty good), and one sung by a group of girls while waiting in line for the LAME Dark Ride (which was terrible).
We went to go home and ran into major traffic on Parkway East b/c there was tons of construction and I almost missed the start of Fear Itself, but I didn't.
Next Update: Movies, Music, and TV

I am furious. I went to get my work study authorization form today and they said they had lost it (the financial aid office). Now, I have to wait until I can apply for jobs, meaning I'm gonna get stuck with a sh***y job instead of the one I loved last year. I emailed my boss hoping he can save me a spot. I'll do the Kennywood story and stuff later, I'm so irate.
General Life Summer Update Part 1: Fourth of July
by orangemann327 on Comments
I would have done it five minutes ago, but Ivy had to post a blog.   (does anyone use that last one?)
I wanted to do the movies/music/tv summer update first but I didn't want to do a music countdown b/c youtube sucks.
I want to also say thanks to everyone commenting. I have consistently had totals that were higher than when I left.
I want to invite everyone to the fun n games forum where my 2nd is the First Loser game is starting again and it's in the nomination phase. Check it out for the details.
I now want to tell the story of the Fourth of July.
As you should all know, I don't have the best relationship with my older sister, the hutt (our nickname for her b/c one time when me and Ryan bought a buttload of food, she came and ate a lot of it so she is the hutt). I was invited to my uncle on my dad's sides house for 4th of July. I wasn't doing anything so I figured I'd go even though I didn't have to. This was right in the midst of a buttload of tension between me and the Hutt so I figured I'd be kinda mean to her. First, my dad and his gf picked up me and the Hutt. I was out to the car first so I got in the back left seat (there are three in the back two in the front) b/c I knew we were picking up my grandfather and either way he would have to get in on the right side, thus pushing the Hutt into the middle and having no room. It worked almost perfectly. As we picked him up, my dad's gf moved to the back, letting him have the shotgun seat. As the Hutt had to move over to let my dad's gf (now going to be just called gf) into the back seat she muttered, "Bob should be in the middle, he's the smallest." I just smiled and gf and the hutt were discussing it. Eventually they both started saying they had big butts but it ended up with me still on the end and the Hutt cramped in the middle. :D We get to my aunts house and they were nowhere near ready. I like their events b/c of tons of food and their pets but I hate it b/c of their drunk friends and drunk antics. It was so fitting whenever I got to the pool area and Amy Winehouse's song "Rehab" came on. I lost it laughing. I eventually made my way to their kitchen and started helping them with food and sampling. People started to arrive and I kept helping. They had this awesome salsa. It's organic and made by Giant Eagle ( a grocery store for those who don't know) and it's perfectly spicy but good. It has a great texture also. Eventually, I was forced out of the kitchen and went back to the pool area where everyone was congregating. This is when it started to be a boozefest and I started to check out. They were making drinks I had never even heard of. I sat down and started texting people. I texted my little sister who wanted to hear about the Hutt drinking, two of my friends who I spent a lot of time with the summer, and one friend I graduated with but lost touch throughout the school year. People caught on to it and would come up to me saying "what are you doing" and "how could you spend so much time on that thing". I wanted to give them the answer, "Because you can't stand up straight and I don't like you" but I restrained it to a "because I'm awesome" answer. While texting, I also kept a keen watch on everything going on. Then, it happened, the Hutt's ex-bf arrived. He came with a bunch of friends and they all got to talking. I slyly kept watch and perked up my ears. The party kept going on, me still aware of everything whenever they point out that the Hutt has what they call "the Asian Flush". It's supposed to be whenever someone gets red in the face from drinking and named b/c it happens to Asians, I don't know. She was definitely getting tipsy. People still came up to me and were looking at me the whole time until the best part happened. My dad and gf started talking. He all of a sudden says I don't like him, I don't like that. Me, I'm trying to get on it, but eventually he just makes it known. He turns to the hutt's ex-bf and says, "don't you dare ever lay a f**king finger on my daughter or say anything about her, or I'll f**king kill you." I'm sitting there with my mouth open and the biggest cheeser ever. I was like what???!!!! the ex laughs and my dad continues with his threats. Everyone at the party got that awkward, no eye contact expression on their face with me still beaming. We went to leave, but the hutt didn't want to. She wanted to stay and hang out with everyone. My dad then said to gf "if she doesn't come with us, I'm not taking her to (where she lives now) to look for an apartment next weekend." I start walking up the hill to our car and I get stopped by the gf saying that the Hutt and my dad needed to talk it out as they were both at the car. The Hutt's big argument was that she liked the people, not her ex-bf and that my dad didn't tell her how he felt, but rather bellied it up. In my dad's defense, A) the hutt didn't do anything to tell the ex no. If I were him, I would have been pursuing her b/c she kept flirting B) the guy was a total tool. She stays and I go, still beaming from ear to ear. I get home and tell my family the news. I get instructed by my stepdad to say Hi and nothing else to the Hutt when she comes home the next day (she got a ride from my cousin) b/c she's 22 and can make her own decisions. Me being the complete a$$ that I am, as soon as the hutt comes in, I say, "Hi and nothing else". She says, "What does that mean?" and then she says the big one, that made me almost flip, "What did dad say when he took you home?" I wanted to tell her, you were mad he didn't come straight to you, but you're doing the exact same thing now but I didn't and just said you don't want me to get into this with you, you were in the wrong. She pleaded for me to explain myself but I didn't citing my stepdad's instructions. The next few days were awkard.
Next update, Kennywood trip!!
Summer Sports Update Part II and some loose ends
by orangemann327 on Comments
I can't believe I skipped the most important sports story of the summer (oh and more Olympics):
BRETT FAVRE - I am so sick of this man. He has yanked the Packers, the fans, and Aaron Rodgers chains enough now. I was so mad when he came out of retirement, what a disrespectful thing to do. I hope the Madden curse continues, I can't stand this man.
OLYMPICS (again) - I didn't mention racewalking the first time. I watched that a lot. I can't believe I forgot that. The racers were crazy with their fancy walking and such. I tried to mimic it (with a surprise in the general life portion) and it's hard.
That should wrap up the Sports segment of my summer. If not, I'll include it in one of the other sections.
And now some loose ends:
Adventure.Bob.Ryan will continue. I talked to Ryan on the phone this summer and he gave me some great ideas for other "episodes".
Room Wars will continue. I will also give the season finale of the previous season with the Prince. It is still extremely fresh in my head, don't worry. Right now I probably have maybe two episodes with the new roommates (oooooooooohhhhhhhh). I have to think of nicknames for them first so that should be intresting. :D
Look for the tv/movies/music portion to come within the next few days.
and referring to the title of one of my previous blogs (the Kid Charlemagne is back one) that comes from the episode of Malcolm in the Middle when Reece is put in charge of the family's garage sale.
