The bugs are not 'fixable', as there are (too) many - and some of them, are -actually- game-breaking bugs; where progress becomes impossible, due to a condition which had been fulfilled prior to the quest trigger (for example, as in the Haven campaign, with Konrad killing all incoming enemy heroes).
I love the game, much of the bull from 5&6 has been removed... However, I'm currently replaying that one map for the Nth time & at the moment I can't progress (again, ffs) because it gets stuck on the enemy turn, after a completed battle. Going to find an older save (which I'm pretty sure that I haven't got, since the couple that I tried are, also, NOT working), or maybe uninstall it - and throw it away; just like I did with POS 5&6.
*4 is too old to play, so it looks like it's bye-bye Heroes (since this is patch 1.6 & the retards haven't fixed it yet, blah)
Suddenly the video doesn't play, which I think it used to before; Firefox on Windows 7 x64, NoScript and Adblock Plus... Allowed (almost, or) everything & it's a no-go, can't watch it. Hmm.
However these games, while very good, have some downsides [..]
Yeah, man, nice review... Couldn't agree with you more. Also, there are dozens (& more!) of *good* multiplayer games; if I were to play one - I'd go to CS:GO and such...
Other games, again - also, have hundreds of (different) modifications: where, 99% of the time, 99% of those will be someone running a test, not updating after an alpha release, DLCs which you can get sick of (unless it's Deus Ex and/or Dishonored, that we're talking about, hehe), thousands of items and so on and so forth (crafting, building, not enough space, not enough items, not enough strength, blah, blah).
It gets very tiresome, after years of the same experience, where the devs - or, whoever - are -just- racing to come up with something "new".
This game, from the interface - to the controls, is perfect (just like the last one). It's the Doom, Quake thing (the games you had mentioned); you can sit down and play. It's 1995, I'm 18-years-old again & I can relax and focus on having fun.
Edit: Oh, dang it, one problem that I just noticed!.. Went to quit and resume, to check whether it's saving properly & the first chapter, Prison, says how "Completion" is at 4% already! Looks like it's going to be a small number of chapters, as per usual... The legendary Doom 3 excelled, here, where they made a whole bunch of single-player chapters to play through - and then the add-on, as well. Ah, well, onward we go! :))
P.S. "Every single weapon has HUGE knockback and the flare effects of the gun totally block the entire screen!" - the reason why this game can't be a "10" (& you can't mess with the environment, like turning off /shooting the lights)
@shreddyz @Ramus73 Did you play it to the end... And not notice the stupid side of it? I'm pretty sure that he points out the negative aspects, because of things like the alien killing someone (visible, or otherwise) somewhere on the level and then ends up right-back on top of you - even though you haven't made a sound, or moved (at all!). It's programed to know (exactly) where you are and the developers are cheating. I liked the game, but didn't love it... & there are a few (a couple of) things that bring it down. :-/
Go here, go there, doesn't work; it's not an adventure game & the screenshots are barely enough.
Just taking a peek, as I'm replaying the game, as I took a shortcut to the mech-suit... Before getting to the drill, that requires power, which made me skip like half of the game, this time around (lol); & couldn't go back, as the cut-scene kicked-in and, like, missed 4-5 objectives which went down the drain. xD
@sabretooth2066 @matttrd First of all, **** off w/teh comment spam /kitty pr0n fighting and second: not trusting the reviews.. GameSpot has the USER scores listing, so that's pretty c00l! =)
