I'm getting more into PC gaming. But the high-ass costs of GPUs and bi-anual need to upgrade them keeps me with consoles. I'm well aware that the best XBox360 games are often on PC. Hell, I own Oblivion on both platforms. I own Mass Effect on 360 and plan to buy the PC version in May. But I'm only buying PC games that have mucho replay value, as I CAN'T TRADE them in once they're finished. This also keeps me from investing too much in a GPU.
I'm still considering getting a '360. But, the new PSP looks like a damn good buy. Especially considering the '360s' hardware failure rate/price. And a good deal of PSP games now go for $20 a pop.
For a while I touted PC gaming. I'm still into PC gaming, but I've stopped singing it praises. I'd grown tired of the propietary issues with current consoles (PS3/360), so I tried my hand at the PC side...turns out to be even more expensive and complicated. I think I'm going to give in and get a XBox 360 so I don't have to sweat this BS anymore. I still love playing 'Unreal Anthology' with my Celeron D (3.33GHz), 2GB RAM and GeForce 8500 (512MB). But I'm going the console route on the more contemporary titles.
I own UT3. My CPU is 3.33GHz, GPU is NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT(512MB), RAM 1.024GB. I'm upgrading to 2GB RAM this week. It looks damn good. But the RAM upgrade should pick up my fps a little and nix the load times. note: My OS is Vista...
I have a GeForce 8500 (512MB), a 3.33GHz CPU and 1GB RAM. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion looks great on it. Unreal Tournament 3 looks good at 22-30 fps, texture 3, world geo. at 2, res. at 11?x800. Would a RAM upgrade speed up my fps?
