Though I haven't watched the WWE since my late teen years, I do appreciate what Triple H is doing with the creative side for the business. It sounds very reminiscent of the old school days of Degeneration X. I hope all goes well for them. :)
I don't know why, but every Soulsborne inspired game can never achieve the same feel that FromSoft games give you. They may "look" the part or have mechanics that "fit" the part, but there's just something missing from every single one of them. It may just be a culturally based difference, FromSoft being a japanese developer. Or it could just be the fact that their Soulsborne games is what kicked everything off and so it's nigh impossible to replicate the magic.
I'm reluctant to try this game out, but may depending on what they're asking for. I thought Mortal Shell would have been good but I was very wrong. I disliked that game very much and am glad I didn't pay for it.
@bat725: "The only people who seem to like it are on the Internet." Then it appears a large majority of people did enjoy the film, considering how big the userbase is for the Internet.
Has it been statistically proven that requiring your audiences to read subtitles lead to decrease in viewership? I don't know about him, but we've been dealing with films that required American viewers to read rather than listen, so I don't understand the comment about Westerners being ready for subtitles. Pan's Labyrinth required you to read and that was a great film. And there's a good percentage of Anime fans who prefer sub over dub.
I was kind of thinking that this looked very similar to Battle for Bikini Bottom. I'm still not used to how Patrick and Spongebob sound anymore, though granted their voice actors are pretty old at this point in time. The game looks decent enough, though I didn't really like BfBB.
Lego Star Wars isn't worth it in my opinion. I pre-ordered it, enjoyed the original Lego Star Wars games, but this one just feels rushed, and the open world is barren. I'm sick of open world games too, instead wanting something with a great story and character development.
Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart looks great, but I'm apprehensive purchasing it because I didn't grow up with it like my baby brother did, so nostalgia doesn't play a factor. But also because, though I've enjoyed the games, they have all seemed like the same game.
Elden Ring is worth the price of admission, but that's because I've played all the Soulsborne games. It's definitely easier than the previous entries. I honestly prefer the linearity of the previous games over the open world design. I'm hoping they go back to it in future titles, though because of the massive success that is Elden Ring, they'll probably refine it more and more.
Overall, some good and decent sales. My trouble in the end is buying games and never finishing them. I never thought the day would come where I would not finish a game, but here we are. Trying to push myself through Sherlock Holmes Chapter 1. Almost done with it. Elden Ring keeps bringing me back though. :)
