@DAOWAce: Betas have specific goals. In this case they stated they were working on the MP logistics. They need a lot of people playing to make sure the systems works. There is no reason to have a complete offering to do this. Just enough to make sure they can test the servers and how people join the games. The game play can be tested with a few players. Its the massive scale of MP that can only be tested in the field.
I agree, this review should be down voted. This is one of the best games of the series, certainly better than Unity. I consider it an improved version of Black Flag, and would be my preference of the two if I had to choose. Maybe there is not that much different than BF, but the story is better, the Assassin stalkers are a great addition, so is the ice and snow, the graphics are better than AC3 and ACBF, and the controls are smoother. Also, I experienced far less bugs and glitches than with Unity or Black Flag. The only downside are the huge maps and locations and collectables. If the reviewer was having that many bugs on his 360 he should get a new system. Perhaps he is just having trouble playing the game. It sounds like his issues are mostly skill related. I am playing this now on a PS3, while waiting for Syndicate and have had only one problem where the game froze up, and I had to restart a checkpoint. Perhaps they have patched it by now. I give it a 8.5 to 9.
Good for XBOX. If you like video games than it is in your interest for both systems to do well and be profitable. If it was not for this competition we might all still be using a PS1.
@skiggy34 You played for a half an hour and made that judgement? You did not get past the first training level. I put more time into LBP2 and LBP1 than almost any other game Those are great games and they still have a huge on line community. The fact that the n-line content can be brought from the earlier games to LBP3 on the PS4 is worth it by itself without the new campaign. I'm not sure how this can be a review of th game with only the campaign. The biggest part of the game is the community. I give the reviewer a 5.
@bossc351 Get a better internet provider, or move away from the arctic circle. I have only had 1 freeze that I can recall since the game launched. It seems the freezes depend on the user not the provider.
If this is half as much fun as LBP2 than I am buying it. I loved both LBP and LBP2. I like the controls and the originality of the games, the music and the user generated content. These are games you can play forever with excellent replay value. LBP3 looks even more refined.
I'd like to see them expand on the coop and multiplayer of R2 for the PS4 when it comes out, but I think the series needs a rest for a while to develop some new concepts. R2 coop was one of the best times I remember playing video games, and R2 MP is still fun. If R4 ever gets produced I will get it.
